:dolphins: On the Daunte Culpepper trade, I thought that Daunte had a hard time reading defenses and that his style of playing QB was the same as Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons and I do recall back in February that the Atlanta Falcons brought in some coaches that could try to teach Vick how to read defenses. Because if you watch Minnesota games, Daunte would look at his #1 receiver and then take off running. Hoping you are right because on this board, you are all seeing something in Daunte that I don't see yet.

His first reciever must have been open alot for 4700 yards passing :D.

Honestly, I think even Culpepper haters will tell you that Culpepper is a much better pocket passer than Mike Vick.

Culpepper is nothing like Vick, Vick is nothing more than a RB with a big arm

1. Daunte can read defenses. Quite well, thank you very much.

It is said that it took him a few years, but that now he is good at it... I'm not sure how true that is, though. If you watched him in his rookie season, he was dissecting defenses.

2. Comparing Daunte to Vick is like comparing Peyton Manning to Alex Smith. I GUESS you could say they have some things in common... but then again Dan Marino and I have things in common too. Just not real relevant.

3. There is a big difference between a guy athletic enough to turn a sack or a borken play into a yardage gain and a guy who treats running as as important as passing.

Daunte is a passer. The fact that he is also athletic enough to scramble when it's the best option is an asset, not a liability.

4. I don't know what Minnesota games you watch, but I think people are seeing what they want to see. He spread his passes around a lot, and looked off guys as much as anyone.

Wrong, Culpepper is just as good as any pocket passer, EASILY in the top 15, you could easily make a case for top 10. He is not the best at reading the defense but if he sees a reciever who has a step of seperation he can place the ball perfectly. However when things break down he will run because he has an incredible ability to do so. I hate how Daunte is clasified as a scrambling quarterback because it is not fair. He is not at all like Vick where if you shut him down on the ground, it will be miraculas if he can be an effective quarterback. Facing Duante, you really have to worry about the pass first, but you have to have somebody spying him so that opens up one little crease in the zone or could even leave a back or tight end uncovered in man

culpepper is a man on a mission in his homewotn, hes going to make us relevant again, pack the stadium, and ****ing toy with defense along the way, once he gets healthy, hes a lethal combination, more like steve young than vick

1. Daunte is no michael Vick... Michael Vick is a Ant compared to Daunte

2. I dont really even have to say anything but "Look at his stats"

3. Dolphins went 9-7 Last year with a Pro bowl QB, and Reamped O-line, and some new additions Were going 12-4 or 13-3.
