Dustin Hopkins tweeted that he signed with Saints today. Meanwhile Sturgis remains here without competition. Draft the FSU kid Hickey!!!!

Yes let's draft a kicker again. Brilliant. Can we draft a punter too? Oh and our long snapper is getting old. We should go kicker, punter, snapper in rounds 5 6 and 7.

Yes lets keep Sturgis. Keep missing field goals and kickoff short. Thats worked well for us....brilliant.

Just curious ... Which round are you willing to use a pick on a kicker?

For that kid Id use a 5th if hes still there. Hes that damn good. The point of my original post was I wanted them to sign Hopkins (a free agent) to replace Sturgis. Id rather not draft one but Aguayo would solve your problem for 10 years. Hes been given a 3rd round grade by The NFL. I wanted Barth or Prater earlier this year but Hickey inexplicably stayed with Sturgis.

why did the bills cut him after using a pick on him

He was injured in training camp so they picked up Carpenter and IR'd Hopkins. Carpenter was outstanding so they let him go the next year. He never really got a shot

Bummer. Thanks for the heads up. I was looking forward to seeing Hopkins and Sturgis compete in TC.

I'm being told that would take a 4th rounder.

OMG, we should package a few picks together to trade up for him. It's impossible to get a kicker in free agency.

Sign a solid FA kicker. That's the only route I want to see us take

I'd gladly spend a 6th or 7th on Aguayo. That kid is "money in the bank" good. Maybe even a late late round 5 pick. If we end up with one from some trade or something. However, I would be okay with a 6th or 7th round pick. At least it's a higher probability of him being good then a field player.

Kid out of FSU is projected to be a 3-4th rounder.

Prospect Rankings have Arguayo going in the 3-4th round.

Some team with a terrible history with kickers will bite early at the chance of getting a young kicker who has 95% record.
