Horton resigns with the Panthers: $4 Mill, 6 yrs

Sources tell TSN that the Florida Panthers and Nathan Horton have agreed to terms on a six-year, $24-million contract.

The final three years of this six year deal contain a no-trade clause. Those would have been his unrestricted free agent years.

The 22-year old Horton enjoyed a breakout season last year with 31 goals, 31 assists and a +15 rating while playing in all 82 games.

IMO, this could be the best signing of the year, great job by the Panthers.

$4 Mill for six years for a young talent like that, wow.

Ya, I agree its a solid signing. Compared to Hartnell, hes better and younger. It means their centermen will be a strength as long as they keep olli and him. Now they have to get some wingers and D around them.
