How about a Brown for Rivers trade?

With Ron Brown wanting a big guaranteed contract, wouldn't we be better off paying a QB like Rivers the big bucks. Brown would be a back-up to Tomlinson in San Diego.:confused:
 
Sounds like it would make sense, but nope it wouldn't happen. We drastically need a young QB with potential and I dunno how we are going to get one unless we have a less than average season. Free Agency and Trades shows you can't rely on QBs that way.

And I'll bet your going to get hammered now too.

The Chargers are'nt doing anything with Rivers and Brees until after the season.

They do have a good chip to trade regardless (unless Brees regresses...something that I think could happen).
 
have you lost freakin mind, yea lets trade a potential star back so that we have nobody when ricky fails his next drug test or quits again. that sounds like a brilliant idea wish i would have thought of it. dumb a**

Ricky won't be here long. We need a RB and Ronnie should be it! We need a QB too, but that's a whole differrent thread.
 
Teams are very rarely built around a running back. The great Offenses always had a great QB. With Gordon, RW and Morris we can make do.

if brees starts and rivers sits the bench all year, what bargaining chip do they have? a 3rd year qb that has never played?
 
What else would they give US?

Besides....Do you realize that they ALREADY have a GREAT RB?
