Joey could be a good back up if we can re-sign Gus, I mean if the price is right.. What do you guys think???

I like Joey, he's been surrounded by bad coaching all his pro career, Mularkey has made less talented players than Joey look good.
If his salary demands aren't too high i think he'd be a decent pick up.

Harrington would be a great fit as a backup especially with Culpepper's health in question. He has a lot of talent but the lions were never able to put it all together for him and Joey never really put it all together for himself either. If he's cut and he signs for a backup's price (doubtful) then I'm all about him.

I am from Windsor which is right across the river from Detroit, so naturally I am a Lions fan as well as the Phins..

I know Joey has potential, however he has had awful coaching since he arrived in the motor city

as a backup he'd be suitable, however he may get a chance at starter somewhere else first

what kind of offense did detroit run? i've always felt bad for joey for that reason. he has great flashes from time to time, but ultimately he's underperformed. but i'd have to say this. if we get him, and he has to learn our offense, what happens if DC can't start week 1, or up to week 4 or 5, do we want joey harrington opening the season up for us? i wouldnt be too happy about that. maybe if we had him last year, i'd be a little more comfortable, like w/sage...
