How about house arrest?

Man, I swear some of you are some high horse riding gimps. Under no condition should any man hit a woman?!? You're not serious are you? If your wife pulls a gun on you, would you hit her? Life is not black and white. I watched a Judge Joe Brown case the other day where some girl was explaining to the judge how she beats boys up all the time. She didn't exactly look danty. I guess the guys all went by your rules that men should never hit a woman.

Someone stated in another thread that this "man can't hit woman" stuff stems back to when women were housewives and men were the bread winners. Guess what, that doesn't fly anymore. I'm not saying men should go around beating their wives, but please, please step off that high horse you're on. Come live with the rest of society that has many grey areas. There are a lot of women out there that think they can do whatever they want to a guy and he won't hit her back. Screw that. Reap what you sew.

In any case, from all of the details I've heard this is FAR FAR from a wife beating. The two facts that are the most serious are, he threw a cell phone at her, and he hit her with a piece of cardboard. I guess we should throw him in prison, those sound like some SERIOUS hardcore wifebeating there. Next he's going to spill a drink on her and people will be claiming wifebeating.

Life is not so simple, and if this happened to anyone else it would be brushed aside. For some reason I guess these witnesses think they'll be famous, because I gaurantee if some unknown person had been in the same situation the police would never have been called.

And lastly, someone stated that this is his second offense? Does anyone remember the fact that HE (yes him) HE called the police the first time. The charges were dropped. Sounds like a lot of people are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 34535234.

incredible post... i think i worship you...LoL next time i have to say something again...is it okay if i copy paste your post i think it explains everything i want to say but much shorter.:hail::hail::hail::clap::rawk::couch2:

House arrest has it's flaws too. He'll never get house arrest because the charges aren't serious enough. I don't think he'll get convicted of the crime anyway. The victim in domestic violence cases is key and she seems to not want to testify against him anyway.

In connection with what you understand the alleged facts to be, uhhh, last I read, there were 4 witnesses who saw him repeatedly throw her from his car and she was bloody by the time the cops got there, doesn't that sound a bit more extreme than spilling a drink to you? If this had happened once, I might give him more of the benefit of the doubt, but twice, come on.

"Four witnesses told police they saw McMichael throw his wife from the car. One witness told police he saw the athlete throw his wife away from the vehicle several times, according to the report."

Nice post. Glad someone is pointing out that the last "incident" HE called the police. Also, it should be pointed out that it's not always black and white. Men do have the right to defend themsleves. Men should not hit women. Let's also remember that women should not hit men either!!

That being said - there were 4 witnessess saying he repeatedly threw her from the car. Obviously Randy should think abut laying off the booze until he and his wife can learn to communicate better. Those of you saying they need to get divirced and he needs to go to jail are silly. People make mistakes and they obviously still love each other. Let's not presume to judge their relationship. Randy definitely needs to learn to control himself and make sure their are no future "incidents" !!

I pretty sure she didn't pull on a gun on him. Ofcourse that are extreme circumstances where yes it is acceptable to hit a woman. Howerer, randy isn't exactly a small guy. You bring up the phone call HE made to police. Isn't that the same call he admited to assaulting his wife. I personally wouldn't hit a girl over an argument, it might work for you, I guess I'm not as intimidated by women than you. I can hold my own.:shakeno:
