How about trade for Bret Hundley.

He's been a back up in Green Bay last few years. Strong arm , moves well, and has done well when called upon.

Solid suggestion and finally a different candidate to consider. Here's an article on Hundley that weighs in on his value.

Hundley's toolset suggests a higher ceiling than most former Day 3 picks. In his rookie quarterback class, he trailed only Marcus Mariota in overall athleticism as measured by SPARQ. Hundley can take off and run better than all but a few starters across the league. And despite a penchant for tucking the ball and running during his college years, Hundley has grown comfortable standing in the pocket and working through progressions. And while a somewhat wonky delivery might concern a few general managers and coaches, he gets the ball out quickly enough to avoid telegraphing his passes. In the right hands, Hundley can realistically become a long-term starter.

I was thinking about Davis Webb but wouldn't hate Hundley.

Whoooooooooooooo?

He is the type of QB Miami should of drafted 3 years ago to groom behind Ryan, instead of taking on these undrafted FAs like Devlin and Doughty. You can insert many names here to be honest.

So what if you have to carry 3 QBs on the roster to keep him from getting poached. Having a legit developmental guy behind your starter and veteran backup is much more valuable IMO than some inactive lineman or third string special teams LB. Tired of us settling for camp arms and practice squad ceiling guys at QB.

Brett Hundley could start somewhere in 2018

“I’ve always said, I went in the fifth [round], I want a first-round pick from someone trading for me,” Hundley said, via Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Everybody wants the house to be traded for them, because that’s showing you what that team values you for.”

I remember reports Miami was interested in him. Let's face it. He's not going to ever start in GB. He could be Moore's back up. Gase could work with him for future.

I like where your head's at. Not sure of his effectiveness for this year given the timetable to learn the playbook, but definitely seems like an option after this year

Moore could start the year, have Hundley (or another young prospect) learn the system and then hand the reigns over at sometime to finish the season and see how he handles himself in real game situations.

I still agree with former Dolphins GM Randy Mueller. He said you draft a QB EVERY season some place in the draft. Eventually you'll hit on a good one.

Well Mueller had QBs such as Frerotte, Harrington, and Lemon so I can understand his thinking there.

Hundley, Conner Cook, Tyler Bray or even Kevin Hogan. All would be better back up option for Moore than Fales or Doughty.
