In fairness to Sparano, Kubiak had 5 years and no playoffs compared to Sprano's 3 years and a division title.
I think the defense regressed in Houston, but they lost Demeco and they are starting young CB's . . . Williams has been hurt on and off and Cushing was out for a while. It's a tough call, but same thing here you don't wanna bring in a coach that will eliminate any gains made and the team regresses even further. Change is needed in both Miami and Houston, and the head coach is the primary target in these instances.

Kubiak had 5 years, had 1 winning season (2009, 9-7), he also endorsed David Carr as the QB which is why the Texans paid him a huge bonus. How many 1st round picks have they used on defenders, and still that defense sucks. So if you want to follow their lead, you would have to give Sparano at least 2 more years.
