How amazing would it be if the Dolphins made a HOME appearance in the SuperBowl?

This is the thought that keeps popping in my head. How amazing would it be to be the first team to make a Home appearance in Miami for Superbowl XLIV? The stadium would just be electric, I can't imagine something like that. I mean, this is the time to do it. WE may not have another chance. Our schedule is absolutely brutal next season, but if we can boost our defense (Peppers) , and bring in a prime time STUD reciever (Ocho Cinco), I think we can do it. :D

Ideally, we are still a good 2 years from being a top team in the AFC. But realistically, anything is possible. We won the division this year, I want to win a playoff game next year.

I dunno, I think we're a couple rowdy pass rushers and a stud reciever away from being a top team. Maybe not an elite team, but maybe just enough to win in the playoffs.

Just like we were 3 years away from being competitive

:)

hopefully Wake will turn out to be one of those pass rushers...and with off-season free agency we can pick up a solid WR or even through the draft. It isn't a far-fetched scenario if Miami makes it...No one thought the Phins would even make the playoffs this year....GO PHINS!!

I really try to keep it real as possible. We were 11-5, with a pretty weak schedule. We exceeded my expectations of 8-8 by far. How ever, we still have major holes to fill. I think we will be competitive again, but with a much tougher schedule. I would be exstatic to go to the SB, but I think we are still at least a season away with the holes we've got to fill including guys who will be leaving as FA this year.

you never know, they say Stephen Ross is like Jerry Jones so maybe he gives The Tuna free will to spend the money to get them to a high contending team. Hey...... anything can happen.

Will not be the first the Ram did it back in 1979 in Los Angeles.

I thought I had heard as well that no team has played on their home field for the super bowl so I checked in on it once I read your post.
It seems that the rams home field that year was Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, whereas the super bowl was played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
