How are all these NFL analysts buying into Martin's side of the story?

I was just watching NFL Countdown with the Berman, Jackson, Ditka, etc. round table, and they were tearing the Dolphins organization apart. Tom Jackson in particular was fathomed at how this poor, intelligent, sophisticated young man was forced to deal with this horrible torment for two years of his life. No one even questioned his story, all they needed was the voicemail and the anonymous text message about Martin's sister, and the whole Fins organization is devoid of leadership and integrity. Is it really that inconceivable that no one in the organization knew that Martin felt as if he was dealing with harassment? Why can't people give the players the benefit of the doubt when they say that Incognito didn't ever bully Martin. Questioning the Dolphins leadership here is so far beyond a stretch it blows my mind. But I feel like I'm living in la la land watching ESPN right now. Tom Jackson referred back to Martin's family being third generation Harvard alum, like that plays any factor at all in this situation.

I wish people could just acknowledge Incognito is a p.o.s. but still keep the facts in mind that things aren't as cut and dry as they seem. Why don't they even mention that Martin joked about the voicemail with everyone? Why don't they mention that Martin had considered quitting before this incident? Why don't they mention that Martin was in on the same prank on other players in the weeks before, and was in on more intense pranks like stealing Samuda's car? Why didn't they reveal the last portion of the voicemail where Incognito says "Ok. Call me back."?

For people who doesn't have all the insider info we have that are watching NFL Countdown, it is a black and white situation where Martin is the obvious victim. I am going crazy watching this stuff, I just hope this upcoming Incog interview helps a few more people understand that there's a lot of facts missing from this case.

Only person with any balls on that show was Ditka who proclaimed that Martin was a baby and Incognito was basically a scumbag and he wouldn't have either on his team.

This whole situation is just depressing.

Because they are not following the story, they are just responding to what someone else tells them. The only one i can say may look into this is Carter. But the rest are just responding to the voicemail clip.

Because...., they spoke too soon and now they cannot go back on their words...

For instance if RI says the coaches asked him to get Martin into camp and to help become one of the team -> people will side more with RI due to his lack of "emotional intelligence"

As of now RI was motivated to kill and rape... although there is no motive

Who cares? I think it's obvious now what the outcome is. Martin will get paid, Incognito will never play for the Dolphins again and any team that signs him in 2014 will force him into rehab / have him on a strict one strike policy. Jeff Ireland and the rest of the front office are toast. Joe Philbin is toast unless the team makes it into the playoffs.

I don't think you need to be a psychic to see this one.

A mixture of not wanting to go back on thier first reaction; and being afraid to have a perceived insensitive reaction giving them bad pr .

Sick of all this bull****

First, some of them, not Jackson, are empty heads whose verbiage is supplied by the show's producer. Many times, I've heard so-called "debates" where one of the parties declared that he's taking the position he is, although not necessarily agreeng with it, because that's what he was assigned by the show. So it's an organized BSPN clusterfork.

Beyond that, take a minute or two to read my animated alternating sig as far as "he who can cast the first stone," but when Jackson actually makes up incendiary reporting that's debunked about how the the Pats hate Belicheat without speaking to a single players as it turns out, I dunno about you, but from a credibility standpoint, if he's predicting sunshine, I'm sure packing my umbrella!

This. I just want to try to win as many games as possible before the year is out.

They want to keep the story alive because they have Miami playing on Monday night and they are using it to get ratings for a game most of the nation could care less about

Just watched the segment and man some of these guys reach with some of their opinions. Can't wait till the NFL finishes their investigation and wonder what their gonna have to say if they rule in favor of RI
