I was just watching NFL Countdown with the Berman, Jackson, Ditka, etc. round table, and they were tearing the Dolphins organization apart. Tom Jackson in particular was fathomed at how this poor, intelligent, sophisticated young man was forced to deal with this horrible torment for two years of his life. No one even questioned his story, all they needed was the voicemail and the anonymous text message about Martin's sister, and the whole Fins organization is devoid of leadership and integrity. Is it really that inconceivable that no one in the organization knew that Martin felt as if he was dealing with harassment? Why can't people give the players the benefit of the doubt when they say that Incognito didn't ever bully Martin. Questioning the Dolphins leadership here is so far beyond a stretch it blows my mind. But I feel like I'm living in la la land watching ESPN right now. Tom Jackson referred back to Martin's family being third generation Harvard alum, like that plays any factor at all in this situation.
I wish people could just acknowledge Incognito is a p.o.s. but still keep the facts in mind that things aren't as cut and dry as they seem. Why don't they even mention that Martin joked about the voicemail with everyone? Why don't they mention that Martin had considered quitting before this incident? Why don't they mention that Martin was in on the same prank on other players in the weeks before, and was in on more intense pranks like stealing Samuda's car? Why didn't they reveal the last portion of the voicemail where Incognito says "Ok. Call me back."?
For people who doesn't have all the insider info we have that are watching NFL Countdown, it is a black and white situation where Martin is the obvious victim. I am going crazy watching this stuff, I just hope this upcoming Incog interview helps a few more people understand that there's a lot of facts missing from this case.
Only person with any balls on that show was Ditka who proclaimed that Martin was a baby and Incognito was basically a scumbag and he wouldn't have either on his team.
This whole situation is just depressing.
