chances to trade up....to grab quinn..??
i know that is dificult but.....i think that if the front office dont do that...we might be selecting levi brown......mark my words...
I think if Quinn gets past the #4 spot, we should be on the phone with the Redskins to move up....it would cost us our #9 pick, and probably a third rounder, if not a 2nd rounder, but I would do it.

I still get the impression that they may be satisfied with our LT situation beings that Alabi and Toledo are unproven, but considered up and comers and basically, our OL will be better with what we have left/added so far versus where we were last year. JMHO....
I still think they go BPA, be that Carriker, Willis, Landry or Hall...From #6 to #16 the guys are all in the same category. I know that some fans will be disappointed if they don't pick need, but in the top 10, you just shouldn't reach.
As to jumping up, Washington (assuming Quinn falls that far) will hold all the cards. They will have Minny, GB, maybe Jax, maybe Barfalo, st Louis, Jests, perhaps even Baltimore all possibly inquiring and it wouldn't surprise me to see either Detroit, Oakland or Cleveland looking too (assuming one of those guys do not take a QB with their earlier pick. I can see a bidding war, maybe moreso with Minny than the others for that pick. That's the team I worry about the most, assuming that either Oakland, Cleveland or Detroit don't jump on Quinn.
Giving up too much is not what I think is best for the franchise. I'd be so excited I'd probably pee myself if we end up with him, but we can't afford to give up the farm for him. There is still a good chance at #40 that Edwards, Kolb or Stanton are still available in the early second. There is still as good a chance that CPep comes back healthy as well. If so, it would relegate even Quinn to the bench for at least a year. Is that how you want to spend your #9 pick in the draft....
I was just thinking, that if this had been 2004, wouldn't we be sitting in the catbird seat then....I love Ronnie Brown, but would have passed him in a heart beat if there had been a Quinn or Russell in that draft...

I'm sure that it would cost us at least the #60 pick along with the #9 (that's according to the value chart). We'd owe them 250 points...the #60 is 300 points and the #71 is only 235 points. However, they want more picks and just might take #71 and one of our 6th and perhaps even a 7th round pick to jump what Minny might give to them.
That said, I'd do it for #60. After all, if we don't get Quinn, we'll be spending one of the 2nd rounders for a QB anyway...
I still don't like losing a day one pick...not with the holes we have to fill...

We need a young quarterback more than anything but we have given away to many good picks in the past to start off Cam and Mueller's tenure doing the same thing. I hated those drafts where we set around and watched other teams pick when we didn't have any draft picks in that round. But, I don't mind them moving up if its a good pick and we don't mortgage the farm to get him.
