The night prior to the opener, I wonder how Ireland, Sparano and Henne are feeling. While it is only the first game, the season ahead is going to be game life changing for these three guys.

Ireland- sounds like he is tight with the owner, but who knows. We know NOW the draft picks, trades and FA pick ups are his. How do they perform while he is in the catbird seat?

Sparano- This is it. Playoffs or bust. It seems like he is doing things his way and will have little regrets. However, is he happy with the roster and his team's prep? Is he still scorned from Rose flirting with Harbaugh?

Henne- He can go from the face of the franchise to an obscure backup. What confidence does he have and how will handle the adversity that will come his way at some point?

I wish all of these guys luck. I would have cleaned house at the end of last year. However, I am willing to give one more shot and place a lot of blame on Parcells for the team's shortcomings.

I think all three work for a knit-wit of an owner making life even more challenging. One thing cures all ills....winning.

Yep, hope they're confident and ready but I sure am not. There's a huge difference of the type of play between preseason and the real thing, and today was a huge example of it.

With Mike Nolan's defense, and how it seems to be vastly improved, I'm sure they feel highly competitive but only partially confident b/c of the new offensive scheme. IMO though Dabol's offense has potential, Sparano and Ireland won't really know how the unit will perform in real game adversity. I'm sure game day will feel like an experiment on the offensive side of the ball.

LOL if anythine Henne can go from career backup to face of the franchise, not the other way around.
I wish them all luck, and playoffs has to be the goal.

I think Henne can be the face, and I hope he makes marshall/bush damn close to it. Just take a couple chances deep, let marshall play his game. Feed bush in the passing game in the flats. Let it fly.

Hopefuuly there feeling like a team that has something to prove.
