we cant block abraham, and now we have this freak of nature coming to town, i have a feeling this is going to have a severly adverse effect on our gameplan, possibly keeping a te and rb in the backfield on all passing situations...

brown can help him. atleast we had just as good passrusher last week to sure it up and see who can block someone like julius

how does ANYONE block julius peppers, its not like we can do a whole lot less than other teams when trying to game plan against him.

hey. Ronnie Brown can Pass block. WE KNOW HE CAN DO THAT WELL. If he stays in and blocks peppers all game i'll be damn proud of him.

Good question... :( Might be a long day for Frerotte and Co.

How bout we establish the run next week, wear down their line, and get in to 3rd and short situations so we only need 3 step drops...

Just hold him like every other team seems to get away with.:fire:

Also he's kinda (for Pep) weak against a good drive blocking tackle.

if only it were that easy

everybody holds in the NFL. Honestly, its allowed. Otherwise D-lineman would win. Everytime. The sack record would be well over 30 if o-lineman weren't allowed to hold completely.

Look out blocks? As good as Peppers is, atleast the team doesn't have to worry about Jenkins and Peppers, so I guess it could be worse.

Holding is one thing. Dragging the guy back by his jersey in the open field as he's rushing the QB is another.

no1 is saying its easy, but we need to work on the running game anyways to establish balance on offense... and the heat should help the cause out

I don't think we'll be able to & if we focus too much attention on Peppers their other top DE, Mike Rucker, will eat us alive. Fox moves Peppers around on the dline so we won't be able to force a match up.

as good of a blocker as ronnie is he alone cant handle peppers ona rush. thats unrealistic. personally i think carey would be the best matchup against him, then mcdougle, hopefully they dont isolate him on dmac. it also pretty unrealistic to think wre will be able to establish the run and stay out of 3rd and longs against them, which is why i brought this topic up in the first place.
