What is the deal with our horrible first round picks??? I get that we had a lot of late picks but this list is really pretty pathetic. Avery was such an obvious bad pick.... same with Fletcher. We really needed him when Pat and Sam were both playing at probowl levels. Milner?? Yatil was just bad luck, but Hill was a bust. Word's still out on Allen and Carey but they both haven't impressed me too much. Gardener was a stud but major injuries. And McDuffie.. great possession wr but the hands were questionable and not first round talent. If you throw in Ricky for the 2002 and 2003 picks it's even worse. And I love Ronnie, but you're kidding yourself if you wouldnt rather have Peterson... Ronnie needs to prove a lot more for the money he's getting. Marco, Timbo and Vincent all had their day in the sun, but 16 years and thats it??? No more busts... i dont want a big Dlineman, but it seems like that's what this draft has to offer safely and its better than Ginn (who i kinda wanted) turning out to be another Troy Williamson or getting the best of a bad crop of Olineman. CB's are soft in this class and we dont want to use it on a Safety. QB's arent gonna drop. UGH... i dont mean to be a whiner but how about a bigtime first rounder for once!! I'm starting to think for the longterm our guy is probably Okoye. He's got a lot to learn but his potential is endless considering his age and skills. Or Branch if he falls??

There's nothing wrong with Ronnie... I'm just not blown away yet and a #2 overall needs to blow you away. Dont get me wrong... TONS of time left for the kid, but I'd like to see more. And I know Allen deserves his shot, but cmon... everyone expected a lot more from him on draft day. Plenty of time though... I'm not saying all picks stink, but overall its pretty ugly

It's been hit and miss for years now. That WR Y. Green pick was a major bummer, I thought he would be great....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

So who exactly do you want us to take. You say "no big d-lineman" but seem to push for Alan Branch, who is exactly that. Okoye isn't a great fit for the 3-4 either so I don't think he would be a great pick.

1994 20(20) TIM BOWENS DT MISSISSIPPI

All solid first round picks!

Also Carey is finally turning the edge and is looking alright!

Jason allen needs to get his chance and Ronnie Brown will prove hes a top ten runner this year!

Gotta love the Avery one LOL

What's wrong with Carey and Brown? Brown's put up a 1000+ yards already though as to whether he was worth the #2, the jury's still out. But Carey's been our most dominant OL and has really solidified his spot as RT. And Gardener, Bowens, Vincent, and McDuffie have been more than solid.

should have posted in 2005 when it made more sence now a nineth when in 2005 it was a secened

I cannot sit idly by and play privy to such poppy**** and tomfoolery. How is Ronnie Brown not something special? Was a deuce pick spent on him all for naught? You say yes, yes, a thousand times yes. How can that be an answer to such a query? Is it because he completes his tasks sans a cape and superhuman strength? Maybe its because on his way to scrimmage he did not save a newborn from the clutches of a mildly rapid canine. Did he not favor your indulgence of a net gross of yards per quarter? It is true, I'll grant you, he has not single-handedly won the American Triumverate of Sport, by guiding his team to titles of the NFL, NBA & MLB ilk. However, he does indeed play the game fairly well, though he cannot manage to traverse the field for a hundred yards and a triumphant score every time his hands touch the ball, or rock, as I've heard it called.

I say...alas, after dissecting the facts, I was wrong to be so aghast at your deduction. Please forgive my spite for not only should young Ronnie Brown be heretofor labeled with a scarlet BUST, be he should bannished from the team and pelted with rotting swine milk, all while, we, hope against hope that our esteemed Team Management leader, delivers our savior Adrian Peterson, on the soon to be faithful, draft day, to our humble and undeserving clutches.

All of those picks were really good and productive picks.
