How bout a trade down with KC?

I know that this trade doesn't make sense according to "the value chart" but in a rebuilding and economical sense this could be a great move. Herm Edwards has stated that his team will look OLine and if they become enamoured with Jake Long maybe they'll want ahead of the Rams.

I'd like to see us swap picks #1(3000 pts) for #5(1700 pts) and a 3rd(69 pts) and possibly a 1st or 2nd next year. Although "pt wise" it doesn't make sense - we still get a top five player (Gholston, Ellis maybe) a 3rd and a nice pick for next year to help us out PLUS a #5 is a whooooole lot cheaper than a #1.

Jimmy Johnson the guy that made this thing up even went against the grain while doing trades. I remember during the draft he traded for current 2nd rounder and the other guys got our future 1st rounder, so there goes your point system from the man himself.

That's what I am saying. "Don't worry about the points" - I'd take that deal in a heartbeat but then I'm not a GM.
