Held his own agianest him, just watched first agian and was able to slow mo the play's D-Mac was only beat once on a deep drop by gus. He was trying to hit ronnie on a screen and simeon blew it up.But brooke was called for holding on the same play.

does anyone know why Cary was pulled? I could not find any info on injuries that concerned Cary. That Cary was pulled before the half means that McDougle had three penalties in one half of play...after being demoted out of the position. That does not bode well that after all the disrespect the coaches showed by demoting him had no affect on his preparation and concentration.
Just watched first half agian look's like they was testing McDougle. Cary was doing fine when he was pulled. Noticeable differance when McDougle come's in.He sure does not seem to be doing much when his chance come's.

thanks, I just watched it again and I think you are right, I'm glad for no injuries

Feroote didn't miss receivers, he simply overthrew them buy 15 yards! To over throw Boston in full stride is saying something about accuracy. Gus missed what 3 deep passes that were simple bad or overthrown.

The OL looked good, unless you read the the paper which thrashed them. I don';t know what game that idiot reporter saw, but our OL didn't allow many if any sacks, actually dominated the line a few series and looked sharp. They opened holes for some nice runs. I think they finally have a group that can get it done.

hooray hooray, our Offensive Line didnt give up a SINGLE sack...we must be SO GOOD!! I mean, come on...Tampa Bay's defense is like the BEST in the league, look who they have on defense...they have some of the best players on their defense, for instance.......umm........umm.......ummm.....well there's that one guy.....no.....uhh.......Seth McKinney sure made a great block on that pro bowler......uhh wait.......well Vernon Carey really stopped......uhh......actually......WHO IS good on the Tampa defense????

Come on guys!! Tampa has no defense, and u all are making a HUGE DEAL about the fact we didnt give up a single sack against a no-name defense. NO Warren Sapp, NO John Lynch....come on dudes and dudettes, its JUST Tampa Bay. Now if it was Pittsburgh or Washington, then okay.

TB was 5th last year. They aren't exactly the Colts either.

they do have Simien Rice, Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber

I find it funny and sad at the same time that many "fans" complain when the o-line doesn't do anything, but then when they actually have a good game and show signs of improvement it's because they were playing against a crappy D. Some people are never satisfied.

did Tampa score a touchdown against us?? I know Miami USED TO be good at that...they used to allow field goals, but not many TDs. This pre-season theyve been giving away more TDs tho. The loss of Pat Surtain and Sammy Knight really hurt us. ANd overall, we shoulda signed Reggie Howard (from Saints) Derrick Burgess (from Philly) and Matt Stewart (from Atlanta) instead of the old guys (Carter, Holliday, Traylor). I think Howard, Burgess, and Stewart woulda made our defense unstoppable

I only saw the no huddle portion of the game, which was about 30% of the entire game but I would say the line played well. I dont know when they started playing bad? Looking at this board before the coach made his comment about them everyone was praising the improvement and protection. The only problem I had seen with the line was a lack of push on run plays. This line will come together throughout the year but we are miles ahead of last years squad. They seem to be handling the blitz packages much better too.

I was just listening to people and watching Gamecenter (when it was working). It seemed that the line did a much better job this time around.

But in comparison to the Steelers, we game planned for the Bucs. The Steelers we did not. So that would explain the major transition of the line, or at least most of it. I'll see the next game vs the Falcons to see how well they do then.

But yes, they did a good job.

Gus had a terrible game. He kept missing his wr's and a lot of his passes where battered down. During the last 2 games his play has been not too good. Our weakest area right now is QB, without a dought!

he was late making reads and throwing the ball. the good news he had ample time to do that. but he was trying to force the ball in when cbs were beginning to close the gap. the overthrown balls i believe are correctable. he has to get adjusted to the speed of his receivers. with randy moss in the years before, he would have run the ball down, but we don't have randy moss. there was one overthrow that was pitiful though.
