How bout this game management decision......

I would prefer you don't. I defended Moron O to the death. Wow was I ever wrong

Hey, at least you werent wrong on Chad Henne twice. Thats elite tylerdolphin type stuff.

Meh. Agree to disagree there. I knew our defense wasnt good for two 3 and outs. It wasnt gonna happen given what I had seen to that point IMO. We didnt exactly have a stellar defensive performance.
Either one is the right answer really. Which one did Sparano pick?

A. Punt it.
B. Go for it.
C. Kick a 100 yard FG
D. Dirt.

None. Sparano just ate some paste and drew a giraffe.

The man brings stupidity on the sidelines to a whole new level.

Except Cameron & Wanny were right there with him, and actually there is no doubt that Cameron was worse. Do you remember us refusing to take a FG attempt in a 0-0 game because it was raining?

Dude, giraffes are hard to draw. It's easy to mess up the neck.

Thats the easy part. Gotta get those lanky legs drawn at the correct proportion and put the knees in the right spot. Its harder than it sounds. Trust me.

Wrong Wanny won at home! Wrong Wanny won a playoff game! Wrong Wanny teams could cover a TE!

Wanny had so much talent on defense that it makes me sick to think about it. Every member of our 2003 secondary had made the pro bowl, so I think it could be expected that they could cover a TE. What they couldn't do, talent or not, was stop teams when the game was on the line.

Which it always was because we never had a QB that could build a lead (particularly with Wanny's conservativeness).

I was yelling the same thing, why waste the time out if you were only going to punt anyways and run that much time off trying to get them to jump. Take the five yard penalty and let Fields punt.

When they lined up for the 4th and 1, I was psyched. I said it was as good as that ridiculous pass attempt on 4th and goal last week was horrible. I said that this is exactly what a head coach needs to do: recognize those moments in which the game is on the line, and respond appropriately. Forget saving face, forget dragging out the agony - we are here to win and that 4th and 1 was an obstacle in the only reasonable path left to victory. You have to go out and punch through it. Then I wondered where Thomas was, when he'd been doing so well all day. Well, Hilliard is out there, I reassured myself. They'll use him. Then they shifted formation. QB sneak, I said to myself. You got them to back off the run defense big time - have Henne push it through. Then they just sat there, and I understood their true intention, and I realized the ballgame was over.
