We offer SD: Pat Surtain and the #2 for Brees/Rivers and their #12 and #28.
I think that would be a very fair and even trade for both teams.

It would also give us a possibility to trade another 1st rounder on draft day.

San Diego is not willing to trade Brees and Rivers will not be traded because of the cap cost. This trade has been proposed many times. Not a very fair trade in terms of value and will never happen.

Right now, the only trade down I would do is Tampa Bay - a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd next year.

I'd look for Ronnie Brown at 5 overall, if not then perhaps Mike Williams, Cadillac or Antrel.

With a the 2 and our then 2 3rd rounders we have a great chance to get a decent QB to develop behind Feeley for the time being. I don't think we need a Rivers or Brees. If we're getting a QB, we need one to call our own.

Yeah I don't see that happening anytime in this lifetime but if it did I would be exstatic.

I'd actually try to make it a little more fair to Tampa(attractive) by only asking for their 3rd this year, Chris Simms(not by choice really but to encourage the trade), and a 2nd next year. That sounds pretty fair to me.

That way we take care of our young third QB need(Simms is still just 24 and has been developed by one of the best offensive coaches so far, helps that he's left-handed since we don't have a great LT).

The better part of the deal is that we can take most likely Mike Williams, Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, or Braylon Edwards there.

That would still be a great deal. I like Chris and with T.B. really down for Aaron or Alex, it's likely they're not so in love with Chris anymore.

From what Boom said, it looked like at the most we could get a 1st, 2nd, 3rd this year and a 1st or second next year so with an asking price of juice a 1st, 3rd this year and a 2nd next year, they wouldn't be getting ripped off.

I hope Saban can try and spark talks

I don't want Chris Simms at all. He's young but he'll never be good. He's one of those guys who have talent but will always make boneheaded plays. He reminds me of Chris Rix except he made the pro's.

1 sided trade. No way is Surtan value of Brees. Its very hard to trade Rivers b/c of his cap hit. Everybody knows that the best value on the table is a 4th rounder. No would give up a first round value (Brees) for him.

Plus SD is happy with its picks. It would rather have their 12 and 28. Then just a 2nd.
