How Can Any Phinz Fan Be Disappointed???

Well look at last year

I can be and am disappointed that our offensive line looks like crap and our defensive line isn't stopping the run.

Our run defense suffered when Timbo was out. Zgonina is great for pash rushing but you can run right at him and by him, becasue he doesn't suck up two lineman like Timbo does. If I have one criticism of RS is I would've rathered Wilfork than Carey. And this isn't no hindsight assessment, I said it back then in some of the draft speculation threads.

Don't get me wrong, I think Vernon Carey will be great for us, but the writing was on the wall for Timbo, even from last year. At that time we had McIntosh who was hurt but slated to be fine for around the season opener and St.Clair who's a journey man but considered a solid stop gap until McIntosh was healed. I'm pretty sure had we drafted Wilfork he wouldn't have contributed much this year but we would've had a solid second year player to fill in Next year when Timbo is released. Now you can bet Miami will be shopping heavily for a d-tackly next offseason and it'll probably be a free agent and a draft pick or two.

Just a little to late :shakeno:

TimBo is getting old and is frequently injured though. That's another need that should have been taken care of in the offseason.

THIS TEAM WENT 10-6 LAST YEAR... WITH A LESS TALENTED OFFENSE. GEE WE LOST TO HOUSTON IN THE OPENER....
THERES NO WAY IN HELL THAT I'LL EVER BELIEVE THIS TEAM CANT GO TO THE PLAYOFFS.
tHE OFFSEASON WAS JUST THAT... OFFSEASON NOW BURY THE S**t AND LEAVE IT ON THE FIELD.. WHAT ELSE CAN WE ASK OF OUR PLAYERS

Actually at the time McIntosh was thought to be ready for week 6. Plus I think they thought of St. Clair as a back up at best. I think they were also pretty upset with McIntosh for not telling them about the injury

It's a shame Fiedler had to be thrown to the wolves to find out what seemingly everyone knows - he's not a starter anymore. Yes there were some positive signs in the 2nd half, but what really irritates me is that Wanny refuses to change his style to fit his personnel. Spread the field and dictate to the defense. No huddle for confusion?? Get creative and see what these guys can do, instead of finding out over and over again what they cannot.:shakeno:

since I didn't see the game, I'm going to go with what you guys say here, I'm giving Miami 4 games to get it together, before I think the season is lost. If they can go 2-2 in that span I think we have a chance. I'm please to hear Feeley doing something positive. I think he's grows now. Jay is at his peak, Feeley seems to be getting better each month that goes by. I'm hopeful.

Ya know, last year the Titans owned us, and we were a good team that was under achieving. This year, we hung with them despite the criticism the the commentators, and media have given us, yet they think we will suck.

I've got tons of people (here at work) telling me we looked horrible this weekend, yet none of them saw the game. Bottom line.......people who bash the fins are stupid.

aside from the 50 yard run in the second half I don't think our run defense was "bad" by any means. McNair was held to only 73 passing yards too...I'm not worried about the defense.

The OLine on the other hand...
