We have got to have the biggest bunch of morons in the FO in the history of the NFL. You trade arguably our 1st or 2nd best player for a 4th and a 7th rd pick and the picks are not even in the same year. He is slowly destroying the team from the inside. He is like a Soviet double agent that has infiltrated our country.:wall

Meh, at least he got something for Landry. I love Landry, one of my all time favorite Dolphins....but no way he is worth what he is asking! Too many other holes on this team to pay a guy who averaged less than 9 yards 16M a year! Sucks he is gone, but I think the Dolphins offered him fair money at 13M!

90% of fans are clueless. Dude, they were going to let him walk. They weren't going to pay him top 5 money. He actually got picks for a player they would otherwise have gotten nothing for. Landry is a slot receiver. He was not their first or second best player.

The "T-Dumb" blasts are getting so played. Grow up people.

Your damn right I am mad. We should have extended him two years ago and avoided all this crap.:mad

You are not allowed to extend a player at that point. Their first chance was last year. They did not want to commit to him long term. There were/are issues with him (you may have read about) that necessarily made them uncomfortable at that time. Lots of teams let their players play out their contracts. It's not unusual.

Its not good value for Landry but I get we were never gonna keep him. We showed our hand and got robbed. But in the end I'm happy the 16 million is off the cap

Well, in fairness, they hardly had a choice but to "show their hand." Once they tagged him and he signed it they were in a bind.

Also if Jarvis Landry is your 1st or 2nd best player you're never going to win anything worth anything.

The love he gets is absurd around here, "He's tough and has heart" Quite sad.

he's a decent player which is more than you can say about 90% of our roster. But I agree, trading away the only good players we have for draft picks will surely make us better.

Please tell me what you expected to get for him...and even if he walked, you only get a compensatory pick if you don't sign a free agent of your own. At least we got something instead of nothing.
