Guys, after the first time Ricky was out of the whole year, SO MANY people (including myself, but this isn't about me) said that Ricky would just do it again. I was one who didn't believe Ricky deserved another chance, but I supported this franchise wholeheartedly when we brought him back. He had a pretty solid year and I got excited about having him back permanently. I was fooled.

This franchise bent over backwards to have him on the team after he abandoned us and what does he do to repay us? He goes and shows he could give a **** about the Dolphins. We stuck by him, and he did NOT stick by us. Doesn't that mean anything to anyone anymore? I don't understand this crap about the Argonauts. Let him go play elsewhere, but this guy in no way deserves any future roster spot over anyone else IMO.

I forgave him once. How can you forgive him again?

EDITED TO ADD: I am not saying he is a bad person, not at all. But you guys cannot just say "all he did was miss a few tests." Whether he likes them or not, there are rules that must be followed if you want to play in the NFL. Ricky is probably a pretty cool guy but he is a BAD teammate. If he really wanted to help the Dolphins, he would have taken the test, plain and simple.

I'm still with Ricky....lots of guys mess up but does he beat his wife, does he rob McDonalds, does he get pulled over for DUI's? NOOOO. Ricky supposedly failed a drug test, but the NFL won't tell us what exactly was in his system...to me this is not a crime. I will welcome him back in 2007.

Easy. If ricky can help the fins Im all for that. It's not his fault we gave up 2 first rd picks. It's wanny and spielman fault. I dislike them.

Its all about the W's and Ricky bring alot more of those then alot of other RB's. Same reason why the Argos signed him even if its just for one season.

If we traded him for a 3rd rounder Id be happy. I loved watching him play but jeeezz. Its a joke now. I dont see how a team could hang its hopes on this guy. I wish we would have traded him earlier to Denver before he failed another test.

Ricky is a man. Ricky has a life just like us and he has decisions and choices like everyone. Nobody is perfect so why hate a man that done so much for our franchise? Had we not gone 4-12 we may have never gotten Saban and I know we wouldn't have got Ronnie. I don't see anything bad that resulted from Ricky retiring other than us going 4-12 and that only led to the greater good of our franchise IMO. Ricky didn't cheat the game and he carried our team for two years taking a beating from 8-9 man fronts.

Dolphins were not interested in that trade. Denver showed interest and a league source leaked out the info on the test. Miami wasn't shopping Ricky and I doubt he would have accepted the offer even if Miami wanted to trade him because he came back to play for Saban.

Thank you! I agree 100% :)

I still have Ricky's back. It's hard to say what really happend with Ricky this time. It seems to me that it wasn't really his fault by the way Nick Saban has had his back. Nick has nothing but good things to say about Ricky and he's keeping the things he wants to say about the ruling on him to himself so he doesn't get in trouble.

But hey thats just my opinion. Everyone can have their own. I'll definetely cheer for Ricky and still keep his Jersey like I did the first time. I love the Dolphins and will cheer for everyone that will help us on the road to glory.

I'm not gonna defend him, but I also have an understanding of the situation. Miami still holds the ruling of the contract violation over his head, so he has to play for us to break even. I know we probabally couldn't trade him for anything, but he did show Ronnie the ropes last season. We're stuck with him, because we'll never get the money from him, so you gotta play him but you don't have to cheer for him. Nothing personal, Just business.

Well, I think a lot of it depends on what substance he was banned for and if he knowingly took it. From all reports it wasn't pot, and the NFL could just be taking a hard line stance here.

IMO, I don't think Saban would have been open to Ricky being back on the team in 2007 if it were an egregious foul and Ricky did it knowingly with no consideration towards his teammates.

Ricky Williams broke the rules after many chances and he will do it again.
