So you guys are saying we should start the rookie even if he's been too dumb to learn the playbook? That's most rookies problems.

An offensive lineman's playbook should consist of three things:

1. Find the player(s) in front of you.

2. If the play is a run, push those guys backwards.

3. If the play is a pass, put yourself between them and your quarterback.

Anything more complicated than that is unnecessary detail.

Real offensive coaches know better. Wanny was a tool for sticking Carey on the 2nd team right off the bat. Picks that high it should be their job to lose.

the one thing I hated about drafting him was we traded to move up one spot. Which lost us a draft pick! Who knows who we could have gotten had we still had that extra pick back.
