Think this has to do with coaching or the players? I notice it in Chambers and I noticed it when Boston could have easily leaped over that defender and snagged that ball out of the air yesterday.

BINGO!!!

I was going to point out the same friggin thing. On one long ball you see the receiver (who is the only one watching the ball) jump back and try to cradle the ball instead of moving forward/jumping back/stopping to adjust to the ball etc etc and the ball was deflected. When watching Moss u see he adjusts his body to make a better play on the ball be that slowing down to let the defender pass or just outright timing his jump better. Hey I know they are pro's and all of that but it's so much easier when watching it on tv to be critical. Either way, I think they need to GO AFTER THE BALL more often.

Ive often thought about that.... For the first time I now have Sunday Ticket. I see alot of marginal receivers have solid games. i think we put alot of emphasis on our QB to throw perfect..

i see alot of QB Brady and Manning included that get alot of help from their receivers. And ultimately make them look good. Booker and Welker are the only ones making it happen. but the big name guys have to FIGHT for the ball. Own the air. Could a reciever be in the cards in the upcoming draft perhaps?

I couldn't agree more, that was rediculous!! If Chambers doesn't overcome that he'll never be in the top tier of receivers, anyone see that TD Moss made last night??? Talk about adjusting to the ball!!

I don't know. For some reason Miami has had a problem with their recievers not attacking the ball.

You've brought up a very good point.
One of the few the past couple of days.

This WR corp was counted on to be a strong point.
They all have the raw talent. That is apparent but for some reason they are not aggressive in going up and getting the ball.

Someone needs to get in the heads of these guys so they produce up to their talent levels.

I think Booker shows some aggressiveness in going for the ball, and Welker has done okay. Chambers and Boston are the main culprits, I think.

That`s why he`s the best WR in the game. The guy just makes those type of plays look so effortless.

I don't know about a WR in the draft just yet...We do have Josh Davis and Gibson in development.

ok i agree that our WR's need to adjust to the ball better such as Boston on that deep pass last night that should have been caught. But you guys cant keep comparing Chambers to Moss. Moss is by far the best receiver in the game. No WR can do what Moss does. He's a freak of nature and an amazing athlete thats going to start some problems in Oakland by the end of the season b/c the Raiders still have absolutely no defense whatsoever.

Chambers hardly ever catches the ball with his hands, unless it is way away from his body. He always tries to craddle the ball. The deep ball against Denver should've been caught had he tried to get the ball at its highest point, which is what recievers and DB's are taught in high school. I don't know why he tries to craddle deep balls.

I would think that with the way Ronnie Brown has started, Braylon Edwards wouldn't look too bad in Teal!
