when I say i dont know if we'll make the playoffs or that we beat some mediocre teams last year my FANdom gets questioned? Why cant I be a fan and a realist.

NOTE: none of the above events happened on this site.
 
Because some fans are homers.

I think if a few things fall right, the Dolphins have as good a chance as anyone out there though. But I can see that there's enough question marks on the team that I wouldn't denigrate a fellow Fin Fan who felt differently.

There's nothing wrong with being as real as the knowledge you have and if you have questions about the team, that a legitimate concern to bring to ppl's attention. It makes for good debate, and good flow of opinions. People who result to calling names, generally don't have a good response for your concerns and get fustrated and take a inmature way of handling it, instead of just not posting. Don't let that bother you. In the end we'll all phin fans..and want to see them win...but if they don't some of your concerns may be the reason..but now is for discussing and the season is for seeing if your concerns were justified...but we should be able to have good healthy debates until then..

Because it's July, training camp is in 20 days, and you are complaining that you were a "realist" last year and your fandom got questioned.

Slappy depending on your approach it could be seen as negative, but if you point out the good with the bad, then I would see it as being real about the situation at hand.:wink:

No one's not going easy. :lol:

But why make a thread asking why people bash you about last year? I didn't predict the playoffs last year either. But I didn't try to elevate myself as "the realist" and look down on the other people who predicted playoffs.

Enough with the wearing the heart on the sleeve.

I got flamed by a lot of phins fans during the feeley stinks arguments. I guess I just have a real thick skin. Its probably not personal but some people want to see only the positive and they cant tell or dont care to read constructive criticism of a player or team.

I have always found this statement to be perplexing. Which team that had a winning record in the NFL did not beat some mediocre teams last year?

That's a different story. If someone couldn't see that Feeley was terrible, they weren't a homer. They were blind.

I had faith in him going into the season, but that faded real fast.
