I know it's very early, but the early camp reports on Henne don't sound promising.

How confident is Henne right now due to the fact that:

1)The FO has been looking for a additional QB, that would "compete" for the starting job. (Replace Henne).
2)Sparano showing he has no confidence in Henne in the past.
3)The numerous times in the off season Ireland followed up any talk of Henne as the starting QB with"for now".
4)The lack of fan and media support.

Basically, do you think all of this has shattered Henne's psyche and confidence even worse, or will it light a fire under him to better his game?

He will Fail. THis FO has made sure that it will fail and not behere next year. Everyone get ready to start rebuilding again.

Let me spin your negativity...

1) Given that the FO didn't aggressively go after another QB shows that they do have confidence in Henne. All teams bring in competition for their starters.

2) Sparano has often stated that Henne was not the problem when things went wrong.

3) No team want's any player to get comfortable or complacent. And once again, all teams bring in competition for their starters.

4) An over-exaggeration by a select group of fans on this forum doesn't equal all fans or media.

It's all in your perspective. :)

If he is that erratic in camp it tells me that he must not have been throwing much the past month which is concerning no doubt. You shouldn't have mechanics problems with the first pre-season game around the corner regardless of there not being camp or not. I have pulled hard for this guy but my patience wears exceedingly thin. No more excuses Henne.

henne has about as much confidence as a slug in a desert
if the camp reports are true he got down on himself with one bad throw and never recovered

The dolphins need to face it that henne is not starter worthy and has backup written all over him

I dont care if it shatters his confidence or not. If it does he isnt a real leader anyway and not worthy of being a starter. Its noone elses fault but Henne's. NFL QB failure

he is the starting QB.
Like Al Pacino said in Any givin Sunday -your the guy that shoulders all the good, all the bad, all players, all the coaches, all the media
how he handles it is totally up to him

More importantly, I don't think Henne's teammates have confidence in him.

I guess the entire select group showed up at the practice.

Nice try.

I think that rumor has already been squashed.

I would love it if he was just dead set on proving all his critics wrong, but I just don't think he is going to do it in miami if ever in the NFL IMO.

1. Who did the Colts, Chargers, Packers, Steelers, Patriots, Falcons, etc.. bring in to be "competition" for their starting quarterbacks? This is what teams who don't have a quarterback, and are floundering around in mediocrity do... If they have so much confidence in Henne, then why aren't they "aggressively" working on his long term deal, rather than letting him sit here flapping in the wind during the last year of his rookie contract...

2. Sparano has often stated a lot of sh*t that's complete nonsense. So has this entire front office. Did benching Henne's a$$ half a dozen times last year not ring a bell with you?

3. Once again, who did all the teams that actually HAVE a quarterback worth a piss, bring in as competition for their franchise quarterbacks? You always want your quarterback position settled first and foremost. That guy is essentially an extension of the coaching staff. All these teams who already know who their starting quarterback is going to be are in serious trouble, eh?

4. Chad Henne is awful. That's not an exaggeration by the fans or the media. It's his play that stinks, not the fans or the media's perception of him.

Consistency is the trademark of a good QB. Anyone can have a bad game or practice, but the good has to far outweigh the bad. Henne has made some throws that remind me of a Dolphin quarterback whom I will not mention in the same sentence with Henne because it would be blasphemy. At other times he makes me want to kill myself for even having the previous thought. The guy is everything you want off the field, but I can't say he inspires any confidence on it. With he who will remain unmentioned it felt like we always had a chance to win. With Henne it feels like I'm always looking for how we are going to lose. Henne needs to throw us a bone quick - and hit us in stride.
