the only reason why we passed 43 times was that was probably the only way we had a chance to beat them. The bucs defense arent number 1 defense in the nfl for no reason, they outplay every offense.. if we kept running the ball it wouldnt have helped us advance for positive yards. Im sick and tired of blaming the coaches, thye knew that the only way to actually try to beat them was pass to set up the run.. whoever thought ricky was going to get more than 20 yards this game is insane.. he hasnt played since 2003.. that is a big deal in the nfl. all the coaches agreed to pass first then run, cause we were getting stuffed on every running play. simple as that, if you think otherwise then why dont you get your <removed> out their and coach..

if we kept running, it would have been wanny ball run run pass and punt.. we had to take chances and risks, sometimes it is necessary to win games
 
Who's pathetic? I disagree with that. I understand they are the #1 defense, but our running game is our strong point. That's the only position on our team that is set. And Ricky and Ronnie both need the carries to get comfortable with the offense. Ronnie has only played 5 NFL games, and Ricky has been out of action for over a year. If we're gonna win, we're gonna do it on the ground.

We've all seen what Gus Frerotte can do, and it aint much.
 
I agree that we should have run more. #1 defense or not, you've got to make them prove it. You've got to make them take the run away from you, as opposed to taking it from yourself.

I'm not bitchin' though. We'll see our share of the running game. Probably this week even.
 
you definitely need a ground game if there's any hope of making it to the post season. Coordinators and coaches are asking way too much having Gus throw 40 times a game. And quite frankly, thats asking a lot out of any QB especially when WR's are dropping crucial passes. We made a lot of mistakes last week especially by not running the ball more. We have two great backs, gotta utilize them.
 
Seems to me you play strength against strength....and with two running backs...thats the Dolphins strength.
 
Ricky had some good runs that was called back. Their is absolutely no excuse for running Ricky 5 times and Ronnie 9. This is the reason we lost plain and simple. The score was 10-3 with one minute left in the 3rd. If you have even a decent quarterback then you might throw a little more but who are we kidding?
 
Keep running it right at them. With tow top five pick rb's we'd wear them down eventually. They would have caved eventually with both Ricky and Ronnie lamming it down their throats. Then we could have passed. Wanny ball did work occasionaly.

When they were getting 2 yrds per carry it would've been 3 and out, over and over.

Tampa's defense is light and fast....you pound them...and pound them...until they cry uncle. The old Dolphins won by pounding the football....they used three running backs then....Williams....Brown...and Morris, should be used the same way.
 
Well say what you want but did anyone see the time of possesion? That was because Gus can't complete a pass and we didn't run the ball. And some people wonder what happened to our older defense.:confused2 Gus and a passing game :broken: .
