How did Columbo and Carey grade out tonight?

The funny part is that Henne got hit every single play. Colombo was getting smoked by no namers on the edge. Henne made a move or got it out quick enough most of the time.

But for a bad play call on 4th down, giving the Pats 99 yard TD, Brady never getting touched by once all night, Henne getting smacked to the ground every play, im proud of him and the receivers. If Brady got smacked like Henne did all night, he wouldn't have played as well as Henne.
it would have helped out if the Defense tackled better too ... the missed tackles killed them all night long ..

Columbo was owned all night long, bull rushed into the back field on most pass plays.

Incognito had 2 Holding penalties and let the rush get by him a bunch. Colombo...well....was Colombo. I was giving Colombo the benefit of the doubt at first, thinking he would get his legs back, but he pretty much let the rusher get around him all game.

To quote myself:

Say he misses a block every drive. Say that, on 1 drive out of each game, that means a lost scoring opportunity.

He did more than that last night. I'm amazed Henne adjusted so well to it...

Anyone else see Jake Long get beat bad on a few speed rushes?

Columbo, Carey and Icognito, all got blown up on several plays last night ... Carey was over matched on the interior and he got plowed back a few times .. Columbo; well all i can say is; "Good Luck Tony", on your next job, because decisions like this, is costing you your coaching job in Miami ... Incognito, can't play and it's the same mistakes he made last season that again showed up last night ... I was OK with Incognito's re-signing BUT for backup purposes or as a center, his original and natural position!!! It amazes me how Coach Sporano thinks Columbo is still starting material ... Carey and Columbo both LOOKED OLD!!! and past their time ... This is going to be a long season in Miami .. no more than 4-5 wins IMHO!!! also to expand; Firing Henning after 3 seasons was the biggest blunder Sporano made, because it came 2 years too late ... This is Henne's last year under contract and he finally looks comfortable, under Daboll's system ... what bothers me is; it took' 3 season for Sporano to FINALLY figure out Henne needed a better system to utilize his skills ... GOD DAMN!!! it's going to be along season ..

columbo decision was dumb. he would be good for backup duty, and not really sure how his injury affected his play last year. but carey was a better tackle. in this new offense we needed to find a guard that can move. incognito is serviceable.. he isnt the problem although he did commit at least one holding penalty

The line played overall pretty good...You must remember that Haynesworth and Wilfork are 2 pro bowl DT's...If there was 1 week link it was Richie in pass protection.

3 years of tinkering and the o line still looks lost. Constantly shuffling players in and out and making them play out of position is not the way to build an o line. They need consistency and repetition. Pretty sad when you consider Sporano was an o line coach before he came here to be head coach. Right now they have 2 count em 2, good linemen and 1 of them is a rookie so the jury is still out on him and the other got beaten like a rented mule last night. Probably not game ready but Long still has to be better than that.
