How did reshad jones look?

At least I saw him....Clemens hasn't done squat...

And Clemons was around the ball much faster than Jones. It looks like Jones is walking compared to Clemons when you put them next to eachother in terms of range.

In a way yeah. Not as much as people think it does.

Clemons got there faster than just about every FS in the NFL, he still did nothing when he got there.
 
Do you know why teams barely threw bombs against us last year or destroyed us in the middle of the field?

I think you can answer that one. With Jones, teams will be having a field day.

I know Clemons is a damn solid saftey, I'm not bashing him at all. I just wish dude could catch.

Jones is sneaky fast, kinda of like Ed Reed IMO. Not a burner, but gets there and make's **** happen
 
Yeah and he also takes terrible angles.

Jones isn't like Reed. Reed has insane closing speed. Jones does not. Jones doesn't even compare in terms of ballhawking ability. Jones has good ball skills, Reed has amazing ball skills.
 
I'd stick with Clemons but I'd like to see Jones gradually taking snaps away from Bell in obvious passing downs. Maybe I'm under-estimating Bell but the guy just doesnt seem to bring anything to the table anymore. He makes a lot of tackles and is basically another LB'er on the field but he can't cover anybody and he doesn't cause any turnovers.

Well I never compared there ballhawking ability, but Jones has atleat that potential.

Clemons is a "ballhawk" he just can't catch,
 
RobertHorry, get real with your love affair of Clemons. He's average. He has no instincts, period. Not at Clemson, and not now. Jones was a playmaker at Georgia, and shown off that playmaking ability when he had the chance last year. Defenses don't become elite with your run of the mill Chris Clemons at safety, they become elite with a playmaker at safety, something Jones has shown the ability to be, and Clemons never has, nor will.
 
If Clemons could learn how to spot a ball that is already in the air, he'd be a damn fine safety. As it stands he is just a super athletic guy with fairly decent range who can't swat a ball if his life depended on it.

And as is with the rest of our team, he rubs his hands in crisco before every passing play!
