Just checking some of the game stats:
First Downs - San Diego 27, Miami 14
Third down conversions - SD 11 of 19, Mia 2 of 10
Time of posession - SD 40:17, Mia 19:29
Total plays - SD 82, Mia 48
Turnovers - SD 3, Mia 2
Red Zone efficiency - SD 3 of 3 100%, Mia 1 of 4 25%

The stats suggest a fairly easy SD win. But not only did we win, we won relatively comfortably because we were up by 9 with less than a minute to play.

I think the key stat to the game is:
Yards per pass - SD 4.5, Mia 10.4

Lack of respect!!!!!!!

Thats how we won, Shotty gave us none whatsoever, going for it on 4th&8 and on 4th&6 that early in the game, that was ridiculous. They allowed a few huge(CC&Booker) passes which put them away, thats what the chargers get for showing us no respect, I bet they wish they were not so ballsy now

Scoring plays at the right time and right place.....amazingly those stats could still show the SD dominance and if Ricky doesnt fumble in SD zone, and Ronnie fumble inside the 1 we would have had more points and still not won the stat battle.

I love it...what a game.

You definitely answered your own question........ BIG PLAYS!!!! Miami let up too many short yardage plays by San Diego, but they also nearly COMPLETELY eliminated the big play. We also had bigger defensive turnovers when they mattered the most. It may sound stupid, But I win a lot of games on Madden where I'm outdone in nearly every statistical category, but turnovers and big plays will swing a game in a heartbeat!!!

and we kept penalties to a minimum... this is a big factor.. compared to earlier on in the year

The reason I asked the question simply is that at no stage in the game did I think that we were out of it or getting dominated. I was quite shocked when I saw the stat line

Not only did we make big plays, we also eliminated big plays from the Chargers. Also the timing and location of turnovers was generally in our favour.

Channing Crowder and Zach Thomas !~

Thouse were the play makers today !

and a solid game by Mare and Gus

Everyone else had a very good game including Chambers

The running game was Eh....

The Dolphins just absolutely refused to quit!

Actually, I think their kicker had a rib injury that prevented him getting into long fg. The two times they went for it was about the same distance. Maybe "LT" the Charger fan can clear this up

I tell you how we won...we played against the most overrated coach in NFL History...a guy who plays not to lose....a guy who plays Martyball.

What has this guy ever won????
