News is kinda slow this time of the year, and while I was perusing some of these posts I got to thinking about how many fans that we have contribute to this board, and how they all have such different opinions(well, some of us). I figured that everybody must have a different story as to how they became attached to this franchise, and I thought that it would be interesting to hear from both newer posters, and those salty veterans.

My story isn't all that exciting: My dad has always been a phins fan, and my mom, having grown up in Maine so forgive her, is a Patriots fan. My dad must of pushed me harder, so I have always loved the aqua and orange. He was actually born the same year that the Phins started, so I guess thats why he always followed them. So, any interesting, or not-so-interesting, stories out there?

Third generation here.. Grandparents season tickets holders since day 1 parants shortly after and I went to almost every home game until I moved from FLA at 13... I miss seeing the games in person but my passion for the team has never faltered...So basically I was swaddled in a Miami Dolphin towel :D.

When I was born... Second generation fan...

Grew up in Las Vegas, so watching 1pm games was difficult... Would have to be up at 10am in a sports bar, and they were rarely shown in LV. Prime time was fun for me!

But now I'm a blessed season ticket holder...

I got a Dolphins hat, scarf and jacket for Christmas when I was 7-years old, they were in the Super Bowl that year and although I wasnt into football much yet I knew that was a big deal.

I started playing tackle football the next year and played for 21 years total between little league, HS and semipro.

Dolphins were the only team I followed except for a few years when Walter Payton was with the Bears I followed them only because he was my favorite player.

I played LB in 7th grade and wore #85 for Nick Buoniconti my favorite Dolphin back then because we played the same position.

My friend bought me a dolphins hat for my bday back in 1987. I been a fan ever since. Good thing he didn't buy me a Jets hat.

THE MIAMI DOLPHINS WERE THE MOST FUN IN SUPER TECMO BOWL FOR NINTENDO!!!
who wouldnt wanna play w/ Marino Duper + Clayon

seriously..i was bred on that game.. and became a huge Marino Fan because of it... and then they were the only team w/ an Ivy League Jew QB ..
represnting!

i honestly cant remember how it happened....i live in NJ and have never even been to miami

it might be because i knew a lot of jets fans, so i just did it to annoy them...

everyone tells me its probably because of marino....maybe....although he was never even one of my top 4 or 5 players on the team.....

its funny though, cause im a knicks fan.....so in the mid-late-90s I hated Miami and loved NY in basketball......and vice versa in football

Born and Bred in Fl. on the fins. Dad almost missed me being born cause he and grandpa were at the Orange Bowl watching the Dolfins beat the Jets.

My fam went to florida on vacation when I was in forth grade an I bought a Miami Dolphins Banner an have been rootin for the aqua an orange ever since...

I acme up in SW Florida, Dolphins games almost every Sunday with a Ukee Washington promo.

The first season that I got to watch every Dolphins game was 1983, Marino's rookie year. I've been a fan ever since.
