If your defense forces turnovers like Denver did to us in last year's playoffs we could be in trouble.

This year's loss to Denver is less relevant IMO because we hadn't integrated Doug Gabriel, Chad Jackson, and Reche Caldwell into the offense yet....in the wake of Deion Branch leaving.

Win or lose, the Bears have an easier trip to the SB than the AFC teams do. And you'll probably have a bye and a home game - that is HUGE.

I wouldn't worry about the Bears beating the Pats....I'm worried about how the Dolphins are going to beat the Bears.

you're going to have to protect the middle of your secondary now that brown is out but basically you have the right defense to shut the patsies down. Harrass Brady all game and have a good secondary. The Broncos defense is the text book case. Even our team, plays em tough. You have to pressure Brady, that's the key.

On the other side, your runnning game seems a little week so I think you'll have to outguess em on offense. How's your pass protection? If you can get time for Grossman he could find the holes in that secondary. The main thing is to be patient and take what they give. They wait for you to make a mistake.

Third protect the ball. You have to win the turnover battle

and fourth their special teams are a bit weak. You may be able to break some good returns on them

You guys will win, The pats OLine cant stop your D.

Brady is good, but if you get pressure, he will make some mistakes.

I think your first loss will come to a divisional team. Divisional games are usually the toughest ones to play.

Do you have a time machine?
#1 Hire buddy ryan to coach the D
#2 Make the pats play tony eason at qb.
Seriously Bears look tough,Grossman has to have a big day(no turnovers)
and bears D will have to force some turnovers.

Bears have to preasure Brady. Vikes in the whole first half blitz 2-3 times. You give Brady time he is going to pick you apart.

Just check with Denver who has beaten the Patsies 5 put of the last 6 times.

If you don't think Belichick won't remind them of '85 for bulletin board fodder, than your team will be surprised. O-Line's clicking, defense is fairly smooth, I'd say it'll be a good game.

IMO, our o-line is just above average. I'll be worried about the blitz packages the Pats throw at Grossman. I hope he learned his lesson regarding patience and check downs during the MNF Az game.

I'm a big believer in winning in the trenches. If you can control the line of scrimmage, you win the game. Pretty simple strategy, but difficult to do. To me the keys will be our ability to pick up the Pats blitzes and our d to get to Brady, like many of you said in this thread.

Good luck this week.

Get pressure using your front 4 and remain patient on both sides of the ball.

When blitzed, he gets pretty good protection and finds the open receiver quickly. The more a defense can pressure him without blitzing, the more likely they will have success stopping the Pats.

Grossman will need to have the game of his life to lead the Bears to a W. He has to be ready to advance down the field 5yds at a time.

History shows few teams behave that way, especially once they're down 7 or more on the road.
