IMO we need to start grabbing as many draft picks as we can so we can build this team with some quality players. As we all know Wanny screwed us up by giving up so many draft picks and giving so much money to veteran players. We are going to have alot of money under the cap this year so we should be in good shape to make things happen. Which direction do you think we need to go first? Max Starks and or Roman Oben are looking like good prospects to pick up. Here is a list of other FA O-linemen.

ill tell ya how we fix this team...we trade our future draft picks and 3rd thru 7th rounders, and our receivers who cant catch, and Culpepper....and pickup every every pick in the Top 10. THEN we draft...

1. Brady Quinn
2. Joe Thomas
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Gaines Adams
5. DT from Michigan...dont know his name.
6. Leon Hall.
7. Laron Landry.
8. Ted Ginn Jr.
9. Justin Blalock (use him as a Guard)
10. Jake Long

THERE....our team is fixed. Then Wayne goes bankrupt.

My opinion-(as a pats fan)
1st decide if culpepper or harrington is going to be your guy,If not q.b.
If so trade down to accumulate picks and spend them primarily on the O and D line.
It's not pretty, but if you want long term success,It's a good start.
Things that can make all this moot,Is if ownership decides Saban "might not be there guy"=Win now or else.

Wayne gave Wanny all the time in the world so i figure that Saban's job is going to be safe for a while. I personally think Culpepper isn't that great and i was pissed that we passed on Brees. I hope he succeeds now because it would be one less thing we have to worry about. IMO we are getting a top 3 pick in the draft and i see us getting Brady Quinn or Joe Thomas.

I think Saban deserves more time.
I think he made mistakes,Tried to win with a flawed team(my opinion)rather than blowing it up and starting over.
That's what Belichick did in NE,and many of us questioned it, until we saw the final results.
Saban and wanny are (apples and oranges)
The brees/culpepper was a gamble either way 50/50
Don't see you guy's getting that high a pick though,Expect you to win some later in the year.

I'm not sure about signing Holiday back. He seems to disapear at times and i think we need to get younger at the D-line anyway.

If we drop Holiday, who else will we have on the line? Wilkinson, Evans, Wright, and Vickerson. Definitely not the DT rotation I would like to bank on.

sounds good, but we need to KEEP spragan...we dont have anyone to take his place....UNLESS we spend on Adalius thomas, or lance briggs.

Out with the old in with the new, It's that simple we need new blood on this team.

Trade down and stock up on picks, sign some quality FA's, fire Mularkey.

Throughout this year fans and former players have said the team has no life, well as a Finatic i believe not, but there are players on this team that are good.....for bait (trade bait).

To right the ship we need to bring the team back to the old dolphins of the 70s with a touch of the early 80s, here is some first steps we can take.

Start with the offensive line (ie 90 draft). Our great teams had a great center Langer and Stephension (there are no top ranked centers but there are gritty centers out there that are in the mold of Langer and Stephenson) and so on with a OT, LB, S, WR, S, LB (not necessary in that order)

Trade McMicheal (Love him but he can never get into 2nd gear)
Keep Chambers (unless we can get a Javon Walker deal for him a 2nd and a 3rd nothin less)

Also, some might not agree but we need to play Marcus Vick, to increase his value on the team, but also as trade bait

Part 2 TBA

We do not have many players worth trading, I will trade Harrington to get a pick only if we are drafting a QB on day 2 of the draft. We can find a better back during the off season (alas B. Johnson type) ---D. Huard
