...in regards to Johnson as a man? He has lost so much after his violent act against his wife - an manless action. With a pitiful deed set aside, how do you feel, genuinely, about Johnson in light of all he has lost?

Also, would these dreadful happenings finally ripen his maturity as a stand-up, serious man?

I feel that he deserves what he got because any man that hits a woman is not a man at all. He must face the cameras and express deep, heartfelt sorrow for all his deed of lately and declare, through actions, that he is truly no longer a childish clown but a serious man - focused and working his way, via a character change, out of the abyss he has cast himself into.

I think he needed to go through this hell in order to finally shake off his past (?) playful, clownish attitude and to show the world the true new man that, I hope, rests within him.

How do you, in all aspects, about Johnson (now) as a person?

Really who gives a ....! Let it go already. Some of you guys act as though the dude sent his chick to the ER. He/she alledgedly was head butted, big F-N wow. I'm sure Chad still has stacks of $$ more than the both of us combined for years to come. Oh and lets now forget the one ball he didn't catch...or lets mention that he couldn't separate from teamate Sean Smith. While we're at it lets mention and live our life's through his on camera media antics.

Oh & boo hoo he's gonna get divorced from his P.R. wife after 45 days... please pass me a hanky.

C'mon let's be real with his circumstances. He was on a real Super Bowl contention team and now he's had to settle for his barely .500 hometown team. Be sad about that.

The guy catches footballs thrown his way for a living.
That's it, he's not our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ..

I was pulling for Chad. But some people never change. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes.

As far as feeling sorry for him I can't. He got his chance and he didn't take advantage of it. Besides several places show his net worth at $15M. No tears from me.

I lost a ton of respect for him, I always liked him. he was goofy but he was harmless, now he's not harmless anymore if this is true which is appears to be.

As a person, I really don't care. He has his issues and that's for him to work out. As a football player, he was a huge risk when we brought him in, but I understand why they thought they had to see if he truly had changed. Unfortunately, nothing really had changed with him. It still is all about him and how anything relates only to him. Regardless of what truly happened with his wife, he was a complete distraction and was not buying into Philbin's plan (except for lip service). Philbin had no choice but to kick him to the curb, especially after having purged a perceived problem with Marshall. While it will be painful to watch, we are going to have to rely on our young WR's to try and step it up. Else we will be shopping for another WR early in the draft next year.
