How do you not call a time out on 4th and 10?

That was the game right there. So why do you not call a time out to reset and give the D a brief rest? Instead the D looked a bit confused. Isn't that one of the purposes of timeouts? Obviously, that does not mean we stop them from converting, but it at least gets the D ready.
 
defense was thriving and its 4th and long a timeout would also benefit the offense too
 
I was thinking the same thing. Its all falls down to coaching.
 
The question of not going for it in 4th and 3 in 4 down territory (especially when Sturgis has struggled past 50) is the question I have. Ron had balls. Philbin didn't. Let's say we made that FG. They still win.
