How do you react after Dolphins losses?

I'm terribly moody until Wednesday. But it NEVER fails, when I think it's safe to turn on Sports Center....

".... in Miami's loss last week..."

However, over the years, I've become so enveloped in fantasy football leagues, I try to ignore the losses by focusing on other players. And, for once (last year), I was GLAD for regional coverage in Kentucky!

This year, I'm getting NFL Ticket.....

And honestly, this is the most pumped I've been for Dolphin Football since Dan was QB. With expectations low (in the media) and so much talent amassed... I'm silently beside myself with excitement.

I AM SUPERSTITIOUS when it comes to the Phinz. If positive things are happening in a game while I'm doing something (sitting in a chair, on the coach, with socks on or off, drinking pop, etc...), I'll keep doing it until something goes wrong...... (I'm not like that in any other aspect of life).... I'll do anything to help the Phinz win!

I will say this, I do tend to associate my "support" with an offensive Franchise player. I began watching football when Danny White was QB for the Cowboys. When I started supporting Miami, it was because of Dan. When Dan retired, I felt rudderless.

Then, Ricky came along. I can't tell you how many times I've jumped out of my chair or off the couch when Ricky would get the ball. You know, when YOU see that hole open up and you're thinking (OMG, he's GONE!)...... I'd jump up screaming to the top of my voice "RUN RICKY RUN!". It was the most fun I've had watching the Phinz in MANY years. You know, having a player who is Elite and CAN dominate a game playing for your team. It's a GREAT feeling.

Even to this day, Ricky is my favorite Phin. I just bought his Orange 34 jersey last week (with Boston's (Aqua) and Brown's (White)). I'm starting to come around on Brown. I THINK he can not only take Ricky's place long term, I THINK he might have similar skills. But, I'll WAIT and enjoy watching Ricky for now as Ronnie grows.

I'm pumped... that's for sure!

And, I know.... I'm probably one loss away from :rtfm: :soapbox:

And, I'll curse ever spending $300 on NFL Ticket HD when it happens.

But, as everyone knows.... as long as the might Aqua and Orange are on the field....

:jetssuck: :billsbite :nesucks:

And, that always puts a smile on my face. :D

I used to be just AWFUL. I threw a bloody mary at the TV one time. When we first got married, my wife used to stay clear of me for a day or two because I'd just be in an awful mood.

Over the last five years or so, I've just gotten a lot better as far as taking losses and while I may curse during the game, I pretty much put it behind me within a few minutes.

Lets just say I go into a depressive state and sleep usually...or just go play with my daughter to get things off my mind....

I drink beer, lots of beer, or if it's a night game scotch. Lots of scotch...oh wait did you say when we lose or win...nevermind I do the same thing either way...but it's great cause my neighbor is a bills fan, so usually when we beat the bills I drink his beer...you wanna talk crying, remember the first bills game last year agains Jacksonville...we are watching it and doing the tivo thing, are about 1 minute behind live at the end of the game, my Jill's fan neighbor is with me, his wife calls and says what a great game, nice way to start the season, then they rule the pass for jacksonville a catch and TD...so he was all happy they won, pissed his wife ruined the last two minutes, and then crying in his beer when he found out they actually lost....that was one of the times beer came out of my nose I was laughing so hard:roflmao:

I used to be cranky ALL day the following day, and basically not want to talk to anyone after the fact. I also used to throw things. I definitely yell.

I am a little bit more tame now, to where I just scream at the TV. Sometimes, I am driven to smoking to calm down ; )

Ricky, is that you?

i used to break stuff. after losing numerous remote controls and my miller lite neon, i figured that its not worth it.

Im usually just in a grouchy mood until they win again.

It gets pretty bad sometimes. After last years loss on MNF to NYJ my boss didnt speak to me for about few days after an initial discussion that tuesday morning. He asked if something was wrong when i "seemed very surly and upset" and I promptly told him why i was pissed. He laughed but stayed the heck away and i guess word spread quickly cause no one else really bothered me till happy hour that friday.

I usually break up with my girlfriend till about thursday when I can start to focus on the upcoming game. We have been broken up and back together again 15 total times. (3 were non-Dolphin related)
