Assume we get a Top 5 pick. Which players do we trade? Which do we keep? Which do we dump?

Take a qb. Than take the best player available.. so many holes on this team not 1 complete unit.

Get rid of the mediocrity. Get rid of Langford, Misi, Soliai, Merling, Carroll, Culver, Columbo, all of our tight ends, rid ourselves of our quarterbacks. Snag a QB in the first round should be priority number one. Try and find good D-linemen/safeties in free agency...finally upgrade our tight end failure. Maybe bring in a veteran QB to compete with/mentor the drafted QB.

I dunno. There's a lot to do, in such little time.

Just like the Niners have... Head Coach... let him do whats best for this team including getting a QB of course

Hope we do get a pick like that, but I don't want that pick in the hands of Ireland or with any input from TS. We need to get a new GM and coach in here to look over what we have. Maybe someone else can get our talent motivated, developed, and ignited. The right methods to bring out the most from our players. Marshall didnt suck in Denver, Dansby didnt suck in Arizona, so it must be coaching.

A new HC and GM. Fans pressure the business failure & celebrity infatuated nerd that is Ross into selling the team. Draft a QB in the 1st round. That would be one helluva start.

Easy.

Build around Andrew Luck.

He's 1st overall and draft all offense with the first pick of every round following. Get his guard DeCastro with the 1st pick in the 2nd round, find a seam busting TE with some speed at the top of the 3rd.. or get the guard at the top of the 3rd and the TE at the top of the 2nd.

The very first thing I do is bring in a very good TE who has some speed and can draw safeties away from the wideouts. A TE is a young QB's best friend. It's an absolute travesty that we've had Fasano as our starting TE as he's slower than a turtle and is hot garbage. He requires little to no attention from defenses and doesn't draw safeties away from the wideouts. And it's a bigger travesty that we selected John Jerry and moved up for AJ Edds when I was clamoring for these guys to draft Jimmy Graham who has been a great TE early in his career (as predicted)

A great TE with some great speed opens up the whole offense and draws safeties away from your wide receivers opening them up for your young QB even more, there's more than one reason why a great TE is a young QB's best friend. He opens up the whole offense. Fasano only opens up ineptitude and he's partly why this offense has been crap for such a long time. As soon as Ireland extended Fasano's contract with a hefty raise I knew Ireland was a hog wash GM

I pick offense on every draft selection in the 2012 draft to give Luck everything he needs (with priority #1 being a great tight end with o-line 2nd), and so this offense can grow together. The defense can wait , for now. You can add some secondary help and a pass rusher in free agency

New GM&HC,and let them get us Andrew Luck, and the rebuild can begin there.

New coach, and draft a QB #1. We're going to have a top five pick. Even if we're sitting at #5 and we need to trade up to get a top 3 prospect, do it. Even if it's not Luck, do it.

I like Chad Henne's progress, but he has shown that he isn't going to take a game into his hands with 2 minutes to play and win it.

I like your thinking!!!!!!

EVERYONE is expendable. Expansion-style. Start with a franchise QB, even if it requires trading a franchise LT.

TE threat is HUGE.

Another position we have ignored and undervalued in our quest to build the worst $200 million line in NFL history

Is it really $200 million at this point? I really want to throttle Ireland and Sparano sometimes...
