Miami retooled its receiving corps to provide bigger targets in the red zone for quarterback Ryan Tannehill. First-round pick DeVante Parker (6-foot-3), tight end Jordan Cameron (6-5) and receivers Greg Jennings and Kenny Stills are all talented playmakers. Jordan Cameron signed with the Miami Dolphins on March 12th, 2015, signing a two year deal worth a reported $15 million. Jordan Cameron possess a skill set that Tannehill has been unfamiliar with throughout his NFL career. Cameron not only runs great routes but also has the ability to create separation with his quickness. He finds the ball well in the air, using his big body to shield off defenders. After adding Cameron, third year Tight End Dion Sims said publicly that the duo would cause “mismatch nightmares” for opposing defenses.
This was evidenced in the first two games of the season, Jordan caught 7 passes for 140 yrds with an average of 19yards per catch but since then its like our tight end coach turned head coach suddenly forget how to use the tight ends. Cameron entered the season with lofty goals but is currently on pace for just 40 receptions. This shows why Miami is an inconsistent team, thy have no identity on offense. How do you turn a $7 million Tight end into a ****ing pass blocker? Un****ing believable!!!
