I live all the way in Connecticut and we don't air Dolphins games unless it's against a local team like the Patriots or the Jets. My question to my fellow dol-fans is how do I watch the games without having NFL Sunday Ticket? Is there anyway. Also when you watch the games do you have any rituals or superstitions?

To answer my own question, for every game I wear my Miami Dolphins draft hat and Vernon Carey jersey. I also where my wide receiver gloves from high school and don't converse with anyone other than Dolphins fans during the games....

thanks guys

I live in Colorado where it is Denver Bronco Country. I watch every Phin's game at a sportsbar here. They have every NFL game on a big screen tv....they have about 12 screens. I get there early so I can camp out in front of the tv showing the Dolphin's game. They list which game is on which tv on a chalkboard. I also like to watch all of the other teams so I can see how my fantasy football players are doing.
Usually Miami is the early game here which starts at 11 am. I could not wait until 1 pm like you guys on the East Coast. At 11 am I usually order a Bloody Mary but I am too nervous to eat. I usual order something like nachos or fries at halftime. I know the waitresses and they know what beer I like, and they bring me free cokes/mountain dews.
After the Phin's games I go to my brother's sport's bar...he pretty much just shows the Broncos or whoever is on for the later games. I usual will have some wings there...then I usually head home at halftime....take a nice hot shower and get ready for the Sunday Night game.
I have about 6-7 Dolphin's jerseys and I just decide on the morning before the game which one to wear. My fave jersey was a #54 aqua Zach Thomas but I put it in dry cleaning bag....I probably will never wear it again until Zach goes into the Hall of Fame. I never miss a game....the last game I missed was when we lost to Cleveland 22-0 a few years back when I was sick as a dog.

GO PHINS!!! :beer1:

In Atlanta we have a Dolphin Bar in Roswell, just outside. When I say Dolphin bar thats exactly what it is, Tony's averages about a 100 Dolphin fans a game and its the only game played on all the Big Screens. So its a blast, no need for the Sunday Ticket cause Tonys is just more fun regardless.

usually with my donger hanging out

I watch my Phins games on the grat invention of the Sunday NFL Ticket. I've only missed one game in 7 years.

I try to watch as many games in person as I can. Of course, I'm lucky I live down here in south Florida so it's not a big problem, I can just turn the TV on.

I have a question for you guys that go to sports bars, what's the ettiquette on that? Do you have to keep buying drinks or order a certain amount of wings or what? Has anyone ever gotten thrown out of a sports bar?

you can have only one beer the whole game if you want. bartender might not like it (tip wise), but who can only have one anyway?????

I go to a Buffalo WIld Wings, and i only but a meal with my wife and I. They usually are cool about it, since I come every week. We don't get too rowdy, but do get some regular flack for loving the Dolphins in Colts Country. Next year I am seriously looking into the ticket, especially since I will have a baby in June.

Every bar is different. I know one bar owner who says you have to order at least five dollars worth of stuff or he basically tells you to take a hike. He mainly shows the Steeler games and there are about 200 fans that jam the place. I think if you only order water you should be kicked out. The place I go to is very laid back...you have everyone from bikers to dad's bringing in their kids. I have seen some fans getting thrown out for fighting...usually Bronco and Raider fans going at it after having too many beers. My brother owns a sportsbar here as well and they never charge me for anything, but I try not to take advantage of this and always leave a nice tip.

Well, if the game isn't on TV, I'll bring up NFL Stat Tracker and follow the game that way. Eventually, I'll get around to getting Sunday Ticket, but it's just not in the cards this year. I tried going to a sports bar during the 2006 season, but it just wasn't fun for me. Personally, I like to watch the game on my own.

roger browns or when i go to see my family during winter break i go down there and if the dolphins have a home game i go, or just Cbs if its on, last year the pats dolphins game was supposed to come on CBS but it just showed a commercial about friggin oxy clean for three hours
