The Miami Dolphins are rolling over $69,161 dollars in unused salary cap space into 2018, according to the NFL Players Association.
No NFL team will carry over less.
If the Dolphins hadn’t had to sign Jay Cutler as an emergency replacement for Ryan Tannehill, their situation would have been different.
Teams are allowed to carry over space they did not spend into the next season.

Glad we wasted $10M on Cutler. Absolutely worth it!!!!!!!! (sarcasm)

I feel like the rollover is overrated. Sure you get to go over the cap one year, but then you just have more work to do to get back under the next year.

With how the cap increases, it's probably good to have a few million rollover, but it's not like the Browns can spend all that without ruining their future.

I hope the Dolphins have a plan to clean up this mess besides cutting Timmons and Thomas.
