Ronnie is just now getting his carries and seems to be running the ball better and getting more comfortable with his adjustments to NFL game. Granted he missed training camp but really seems to be on his way to making an impact. With Ricky coming back is Ronnie going to get his carries to get himself more comfortable with running in the NFL. Ricky and Ronnie are power backs and they usually need a lot of carries to get their yards. If Ricky is going to come in and take those carries away from him will this hurt Miami?

Simple they will be more explosive and unpredictable.

I realize the potential that Miami will have but Ricky needed a lot of carries to get going and as the game progressed Ricky got more yardage. I am guessing the Ronnie is the same way so if you take carries away from one another that might be a problem. I agree with you that playing them together will be absolutely awesome with Ronnie making catches and going one on one with LB but didn't know if either back needed carries that might not come in order to get in their groove.

I agree,
My only concern here is that if Ronnie is like Ricky he gets better as the game goes on then niether one of them will get in that zone and dominate a game.

But other than that i can see where defenses will get tired out dealing with these two.

I know one play that will fake the livin crap out of everyone, fake to RB up the gut and pitch out to Ricky who jukes the LB and off to the races!

I think RB is going to be going out for passes. So will Ricky for that matter. One goes right...the other goes left. CC goes across the middle, RM goes down the middle, and Booker stays close and gets his 10 yard out with the move play. Throw in Wes Welker on the end around and happy Gilmore down the field and you have yourself an offense! Oh, BTw, the Oline is looking good.

Yeah or fake handoff to Ricky and hit Ronnie in the flat. :D

I think Ronnie Brown will still get the bulk of the carries, especially the first few games that Ricky is back for. I don't believe he is allowed to be around the Dolphins at all, and has not been practicing so he'll have to get his timing down. I think Ricky will be more valuable late in the season for the Phins, especially with the bye week coming so early, and Ronnie Brown not used to being the featured back, he's gonna help "ease" the transition for Ronnie. Ricky will get carries, but I expect him to get the bulk of his later in the year.

Think Kansas City... Just don't think of them against the Bronco's tonight. I mean it could be like Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes. A new guy to take over and a talented vet. I mean hey, the Ronnie/Ricky combo has so much potential, teams should be scared!

Gives us more options on offense. Ricky will not hinder Ronnie's development because Linehan will figure out how to use both players effectively.

We can just control that ball and have Gus throw when we need him to throw it. We will not be seeing anymore games with 44 attempts from him this year. Ricky and Ronnie just carrying the rock and getting the deffense tired and on their heels.

Trust me, Saban has shown us that he has vision and creativity whilst Linehan has shown he knows how to call plays. I think we will be very creative and complex and use the two guys very well.

One worry I do have though is after watching Ronnie so far in the NFL, he's played much better later in games. The first two games he got few carries compounded in the second halfs and this results in minimal yardage. He did much better in the second half (I think 110 yards) vs Carolina and even if you negate the 58 yarder to even out the remaining YPC, he still had 50 odd yards. He's unlikely to get a flat out with limited carries but we don't know exactly how they'll be used yet.
