My personal rankings of the RB's (of course not seeing Ronnie in Action makes it tough... but here they are anyways.)

1a.Ricky Williams
1b.Ronnie Brown
2.Sammy Morris
3.Travis Minor
.... and a DISTANT 4. Lamar Gordon

Obviously Ricky and Brown have secure Roster spots, unless someone offers us a killer trade for Ricky, which is unlikely. So, that essentially leaves us one spot at the third RB, based on the typical numbers kept on NFL rosters. So, who gets the third spot... I have a gut feeling, that there will be a team out there desperate for a Runner that will offer us something for Morris, because he has shown he can be a servicable starter, and will likely showcase him a little more as the pre-season comes to a close. So, that would mean Minor would be kept, and we would cut our losses with Gordon.

Although, the 4-game suspension Ricky has to serve makes it more interesting. If Ronnie does not show he is quite in game shape, would we end up keeping 4 backs, so that Morris would split carries in the beginning of the season with Ronnie? SOMEONE is going to have a back go down with and injury within the next few weeks, and if that happens, it makes Morris that much more valuable in a trade. With that in mind, it might make sense to try to hold on to him for a little bit longer... but there are already quite a few developmental players and new draft picks that we need roster spots for.

All very interesting scenarios, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. The one thing I am nearly sure of, is Gordon is going to be cut, and I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone will give us ANYTHING for him, let alone the THIRD that we wasted on him. I think this year's cuts will be a bit more interesting and surprising than we have seen over the last few years.

I think Minor and Gordon are gone (although 1 may stay until ricky comes back) K.J Harris makes the team as a special team demon!

Way too soon to tell.

I see all these posts that make it seem like the pre-season is over and we are heading into week #1.

There is 1 more useless game left ppl before there is actually a game plan used during one of these pre-season games. All final decisions will be made during that game IMO.

Actually... most of the decisions are made BEFORE that game. The "useless" games, and practices leading up to it, are where the coaches make their evaluations and decide who the keepers are. The 3rd pre-season game most of the starters will have been decided on, and will be the same starters you see going into game 1 of the regular season. The backups will not see much time in that game for much evaluation to be made. After the 3rd pre-season game, the backups also don't get much time in practive to show their goods, as the starters dominate practice time preparing for game one of the regular season.

The scrubs get one last chance to catch the coaches eye in the last game of the pre-season... but for the most part all starters and their backups are decided before it starts.

The team has to be down to about 65 by the end of this month I believe.

and every player that a team wants to sign to the PS, must clear waivers first
