How exactly is a 4th or 5th round WR better than the guys we got?

They're better than Moore/wallace/Pruitt. What har they done? Do you really just want to trust they become a factor? They need more help. These guys (including Hartline and Bess) did nothing WITH Marshall taking double coverage as far as becoming a legit home run threat.

Plus everyone in the draft is a "roll of the dice". 1st round or 7th.

Umm, what did Miles Austin or Victor Cruz do before the broke out?

More free agents to come after cuts. Didn't we get Bush and Barnett late in free agency late year ?

I think it's simple. We really don't care who catches the ball next year because the guy we selected at 8 this year won't even sniff the field. We will see how this works out.

Ill say another thing: If we had swapped our entire recieving core for New Englands entire recieving core last year, our recievers would have thrived in NE and the recievers we got from NE would have been mediocre. Its all about the system, the coaching and the QB...

Bush was a Trade & Barnett wanted alot of money / got it.

Who is there in FA no one unless you want TO who at this point would be the Dolphins #1

All of the Dolphins Wide-outs have had a chance to prove themselves only Bess has shown up & he is a 5'10 slot guy at his best.

Don't be that delusional.

The point is, the recievers we currently have on our roster have had several seasons to step up and shine and have not done so. We would be better served to bring in some talent at the position instead of bringing in special team projects.

I'm not sure this is a true statement, we had to feed our alpha reciever the most, it even cut into Bess production last year..Gates had a torn goin last year and it was his first year, we've added a Legedu who's been a backup and Wallace and Moore got hurt last year..so I'm not sure exactly what the rest of this recieving corp behind Bess and Hartline can do, but I know it's year 3 for most of them, and probably the time to break out in this type of O where they all get a chance.

And don't forget that free agency started very late last year.

I agree, going into the draft you know we will not be able to fill all postions, I think this new offense will have WR running shorter slant routes and running to space with timing routes.....which is what our wr do best. I also think you will see us bring in a veteran like Burress, Edwards or Stallworth, just in case the young guys cant get it done........

Burress Would be best but i doubt he would want to come to Miami

Streeter & Jones have more potential to be a #1 or #2 than Marlon Moore, Pruitt, and Roberto Wallace. All of whom we'd have hoped to show something now. No one has stepped up to become our Victor Cruz yet. Who knows what Gates will do

And you know this how? By reading ESPN?
