How fast is Wes Welker??

idk he looks fast ... i heard he ran a 4.5 but im not sure lol
 
He's got deceptive speed. Doesn't seem like it, but the man can flat out move.
 
when emmit smith came out in the draft it was said he was slow like 4.5 or 4.7 thats why he droped in the draft, but as History shows emmit did ok!!:) theres speed and game speed being in the right place at the right time and catching the Ball.
as history will show Wes will do fine

Exactly. The guy has a good burst and quick movement in short distances and cutting. He's not going to blow by many defenders in a flat out foot race tho.

Yep. He really doesn't have breakaway speed. In fact, you could tell last year that if he did, he would have scored a lot more. But, he is quick and that's a priority in punt returns.
 
He definetly is a nifty sucker, but from watching him last night, he was IMO the slowest of all the returners. I mean Vick caught a kickoff a yard deep in the endzone and ran in a straight line behind his blocker to the 27 yard line. It seems Welker is usually shifting around the 19/20 yard line. Don't get me wrong its better to have vision and niftyness in the return game, but speed wise, he definetly is the slowest of the return men (just to answer the question). I would guess he runs in the 4.6 range . . and he is our best returner . . hands down.
