How Good Are Our Top Two Draft Picks?

Here's a look at other rookie playing very well this year. Aside from that, looking at the same positions drafted as Landry and James, we did very well.

The only WR's to compare with what Landry has done are Watkins and Benjamin and IMO, it is debatable as to who has been best.

At OT, Lewan has played great and at LT but, I do not see any other rookie OT who has been better than James.

Am I missing anyone?

Is everybody HAPPY?
 
I think Watkins and Benjamin are having better years because they are #1 in their team. We have, Wallace, Hartline and Gibson (beginning of the year). Last 2 weeks or so Landry has had good games.
 
So far so good with contributions right out of the gate from them. They need to keep contributing and making improvements going forward, but hard to hate what we have seen so far.

I also still have high hopes for Billy Turner and think he will eventually be a starting guard. But that looks like something for next season.

Should we consider the returns for overall impact? Also, Landry's blocking has been great. Watch it if ya get a chance on Sunday.

I expect James to be better with Pouncey next to him, which some have not considered. I saw some of that last week when the right side played better, especially on the run. Having a proven vet like Pouncey is a big advantage for a rookie over what we had at RG before. He corrects mistakes on the field.
 
Will they work out better than Pouncey and Clay or, RT and Vernon? Hard to say but, they are looking good.
 
If front offices had the benefit of a looking glass that can glimpse even into the immediate future to this point , I have little doubt Landry would be playing somewhere else having been taken in the first round.
 
Nice to see 7 of the players I had in my top 10 being held in high regard. Also had Carr as my #1 QB

I have to disagree. The WR class was loaded this past year. Landry's a good player but was/is/will he better than Sammy, Evans, Cooks, Or Benjamin? No. I liked him much more than his teammate Beckham who went in the 1st. He should have been taken higher than he was in the 2nd though.

Agree on talent but, heart is very hard to judge. I can see him in the mix long term with the other 4, and possibly better that a couple of them.
 
Jawaan has been far better than I think most of us thought he would be, and juice is a beast. No question I think juice starts outside next season replacing hartline and find a speedster in the draft to play slot
 
Wallace has been playing great. What the hell are you watching
 
Both have played solid as rookies. I don't think we could have asked for more. I was really down on the James pick, but right now I am eating crow on that one. I am happy about it to.
 
Wallace is in his prime and he seems so aggressive and pumped this year. He's going after balls like he's mad at somebody. Yes, he is balling.
