Seems like an ok pick up. Kinda of puts me in mind of Gadson but with hopefully more speed. Miami didn't get him for #2 or #1 receiver did they? I have been on several boards and some act like this is a huge signing and I don't get it. I didn't get to watch a lot of Jags games this year but can't see him being nothing more of a replace for Hagans and like #3 or #4 receiver.

Really hope Miami looks WR early in the draft if this is the big FA signing. Saw Bryant was going to Buffalo, so doesn't look like there is much out there. Walker might be Dallas bound but can't see him in Miami. Can't really think of any other options and was hoping I really missed the boat on this guy. I like his heigth in the red zone and sounds like a posession receiver which makes me think he isn't very fast. Great hands so Hagan might be seeing his last year in Miami is he doesn't blow up this year. Other than that, just don't see him being the #1 or #2 like I was reading.

Who's right?? Hopefully I'm wrong, just haven't seen enough of his games. Think Jacksonville you think running game.

he's a good red zone WR, he's a big possession WR, he should start at the #2 spot

Ernest Wilford fills the role that Keyshawn Johnson would have, had he signed instead. Big, physical possession receiver with good red zone tools. Makes a lot of sense for us to sign him and pair him with Ginn, as they should (theoretically) compliment each other.

I can tell you one thing, he is alot better receiver than Marty"Wobble legs"Booker.

hey a fellow iowa fin fan :D, sorry had to say that. :)

How's it going !! Would kind of like to see Humpal end up in Miami, might not be a great starter but would definately help Miami's ST and fill in for a game or two. After that who knows, might suprise some people. :winkwink:

i like wilford quite a bit i dont have direct tv so i dont have nfl sunday ticket and i am in jacksonvilles market

and he is very underrated he had a habit of drops in the past but seemed to really fix that he is a big posession receiver which the fins need

wilford can also stretch the middle well too. big target for skinny posts, which he was used often in jax much, up the middle that is.

The thing I like about Wilford is that through his career, he has averaged a touchdown reception for every 10 receptions he has. He's a very good red zone target. He doesn't have great speed, but he has better game speed than timed speed.

He's a #2 or #3, depending on who else we pick up. Two years ago, I thought Jax would have established the best WR core in the NFL by now, with Reggie Williams, Matt Jones, and Wilford. Except for Wilford, they have all been very inconsistent. Wilford has great hands and gets good position on the ball. I'm psyched to have him on the team and I think he will help out whatever QB we start this season.

Wilford is a solid pickup. At this point though a combo of Ginn and Wilford is still one of the worst starting combos in the conference. We definately need one more pretty damn good receiver to make this work. Javon Walker would be nice but I really want Johnson who I have not heard linked to Miami.
