From those who were at live games how good was he? Insightful comments please.

I saw every game on TV except for the first two obviously. The problem is on TV you cant see the whole field. I noticed on this board last year alot of people said Madison was great but from what I saw on TV he was far from impressive.

He was our best corner...

I can't get into too many specifics...my notes from last year are nowhere to be found.

All I remember is he was good....almost as good as he was three years ago.

no int's, couldn't have been THAT great

with that said, our dolphin pass defense was ranked 2nd

not very. An older corner who is slowing down

if madison was our best corner, that is VERY, VERY scary. i started calling him "toast" because of how bad he was getting burned. also, how many ints did sam have last year? ZERO NONE ZILCH NADA. he's gotten slack in run support, too, as he's gotten older.

i'd first off like to comment on your sig..... salisbury is a dumb fcuk and doesn't know jack, he talks so much crap but he didnt do anyhting when he was in the NFL......now to madison....i liked his play last year but there were some plays that he f#$d up on really bad like the McCariens TD vs the jets...i cant remember the other plays but he was having a little trouble on the deep ball without the safety help (but which corner doesnt?)...he had his good and ok games last year and i expect that he will step up and perform better now because of his value to the secondary.....and part of the reason why i feel he doesnt get INTs is because no QB wanted to throw towards him (so they threw towards surtain and got scrwed up anyways)...i dont expect him to get many INTS this year either becuase all QBs will do is throw on the other side or throw the deep ball on Sam...i hope Sam can improve on that even with his diminishing speed, but he's still a smart @$$ corner

Although, he difn't have any pics, he was our best corner..Very discpline, rarely gambled, solid in running support..!!

over on another board they had stats on cb's like touchdowns given up,catches given up, breakups, ect. and madison ranked tops in league. int's are nice but that doesnt tell if your good or not. there are some bad cb's who just happen to get a few int's but that doesnt mean their good.

Contrary to popular belief, INT's are not the defining factor in how well a corner plays. By those standards Tory James was a top corner last season.
