.....and I am fine with it.
(Sorry, I was looking for a catchy subject line )
This was an extremely pleasing victory and it felt so much different than the win against the Browns. Everybody in the stadium must agree with me because the cheers were echoing on the walkways and the concourses after the game again.
I am ecstatic that our D played so well. Holding the Rothlisberger/Brown connection to 1 is really a grand feat. The last Steelers TD was really only a situational drive. Our D wanted to prevent the big play, keep the plays inside 15 yards and keep the Steelers in bounds and let the clock tick down.
We can always nitpick about a play here and there, a penalty too many but overall it was a solid performance.
On defense two plays really stuck out to me (besides the interceptions): how well our corners played today especially in the second half when Rothlisberger attempted to connect with Brown deep several times. I think one time it was Maxwell and not sure who it was the second time but those tipped balls to prevent the catch by Brown were absolutely extraordinary. Those passes were right on the money and last week our corners would have struggled and probably misplayed the throws.
On offense the only complained I have is the early struggles in the redzone. We have to score a TD here and there and not just settle for FGs. Sometimes you can put a team away early on.
There are two moments in the game where I was impressed with our offense. They probably didn't mean much for the outcome of the game but it was extremely pleasing to me:
Today there is nothing bad to say about Tannehill. He played a very solid and good game. A couple mistakes which became unimportant among his good plays and decisions. And the latter impressed me the most. He made the right decisions, audible in and out of plays, at times bought extra time in the pocket and was patient when he had the time.
Despite having 0 TDs it was a very, very strong performance.
The question we all have now is: was that a one time event or can offense and defense play good at the same time again?
I am glad that Buffalo is on a 4-game win streak. That way we won't underestimate them.

- The second to last offensive possession. We didn't score but we took the game clock from 11 min left to almost 4 minutes left. It was a 7 min drive. We overcame critical 3rd downs, 2nd and long and were (I believe almost penalty free). Scoring would have been the icing but just the fact that we took important time away from Big Ben was extremely important.
- Our last TD. We could have just run up the middle a couple times and let Pittsburgh take their last two time outs and probably could have squeaked by but it was almost like the Dolphins wanted to say "we gave you a cheap TD but today we are two TDs better. Take that back home". I think the players agreed with me because the entire team celebrated that TD like it was a game winning score. It was like the famous dot on the "i". A statement of strength and confidence.
