How good would we be with a top 5 to 8 QB?

How good would we be with a top 5 to 8 QB?

With the talent we have, how good would we be with a top 5 to 8 (Big Ben, Schaub, Eli Manning, Flacco) above average but not elite (Brees, Brady, Rivers, Rodgers, Manning) QB?

A. Superbowl Contender
B. Consistent Division Champs/Playoff Contender
C. Wildcard Contender
D. Not a playoff contender

Personally I think with how good our defense is and the talent we have on offense we could defintetly be a Consitent Division Champ/Playoff contender. Superbowl may be a bit out of reach right now for a few reasons. 1. Our O-line is not elite 2.Run game is lacking, 3. Our defense doesn't create points/enough turnovers,
 
We would be so good that posts like this wouldn't come up every two or three days.
 
well, most teams with a top 5 QB are always contending almost by default... so adding our D and improving O I would say at minimum wild card. we def would be fighting for homefield advantage most of the time.

Though having a top 5 doesnt always mean you go far. (look at what happened to Dan)
 
I dont know The jets almost made the superbowl last year with not even a top 10 qb, there is more to it than just qb. Coaching matters alot.

Always gotta bring up sanchez....The guy played 2 years..He can play in the playoff's..Give him at least one more year for god sakes..

I brought up sanchez to prove that a team if well coached enough and has other pieces can get there without an elite qb, not sure what your point is. Sanchez to this point is not one of the best qb's in the league

Right..If he doesn't show improvment this year..Than I will never see him as a good or great qb..But you could have used hasslbeck or even tavaris jackson for example.just saying sanchez always gets bashed cause his stats are low because the coach wants a run first philosophy..Well see though.

run first philosophy doesnt explain a 54 percent completion percentage. Chad pennington had a prety damn good year when we were a run first team

Somehow you mysteriously left his name off the list, but included a bum like Flacco. Get real.

Nevertheless, I picked SB contender. If you add Manning, Rivers, Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, Brees, Roethlischoker, or Bradford(my top 8) to this team, we contend for the bowl. Period. Or if the phins had just hired me instead of Parcells for the same job, were a SB contender. Either way. Because I of course wouldve drafted a top QB.

I dont totally agree that a top qb makes us a superbowl contender of course it still makes us better but I have seen enough of sparano to have no faith that he would lead us there. Matt Ryan is hella good as I always thought he would be but u have to give Atlantas coach some credit and the FO for adding peices to help him.
 
Make no doubt about it. We would be a consistent superbowl contender and likely would have at least one superbowl win during this time

No, a top 5-8 QB with a top 6 defense makes us pretty much a lock as a superbowl contender each year. ****, we'd be oin the playoffs just about every year with Matt Ryan as our QB
 
I would say between C and D, playoff contender every year. Our focus for improvement would then be Sparano and his piss poor game and clock management.
