It's obvious Miami needs to add another QB via the draft. Matt Moore is on the last year of his deal ( if he doesn't get cut or traded) and Devlin is useless. How high would you draft a back up QB to give Tannehill some competition?

Personally, I wouldn't mind a Tajh Boyd or a AJ McCarron in the third round. Tannehill has shown potential, but this is his boom or bust year. There are no excuses this year. It's time to get it done. He has weapons, his Oline is getting rebuilt as we speak, and he has a new OC. But we also need a fall back, which is why I am a fan of drafting a QB kind of high this year.

What do you guys think?

If McCarron last to the 4th, and Aaron Murray in the 5th or 6th.

Unless we have a guy high on our draft rating and he falls a couple rounds I really don't see us using a pick at all. We have far to many needs to worry about a back-up quarterback of the future...

So if Tannehill is a bust what do we do? I'm not ready to tank for Famous Jameis. :hump:

We don't draft one. Only reason we need one is if we cut Moore. If we do cut him we need a vet not a rookie.

4th round. I would use the 3rd/4th every other year on a QB.

I wouldn't take another this year. Focus on preparing Devlin to be the backup as Moore exits. If Tannehill falters this year look at a first rounder like Mariota or if we really collapse Winston.

If we cut Moore this answer changes to the 4th.

Maybe Wyoming QB Brett Smith...7th round or UFA.

The Dolphins have sniffed around Logan Thomas, he could be a late round prospect to keep an eye on.

Someone will be added to the roster, Philbin basically said that this week. It will be someone to push Devlin this year and maybe develop into Tannehill's main backup a couple of years down the road. I doubt it will be anyone before the 5th round, and it very well might just be an UDFA.

No higher than the 5th. RT is the real deal. If he gets time he will have us in the playoffs. A good running game would help. I always thought that when you had a young QB you helped him with a ground game. We had no ground game and even abandoned it. RT will show he has the skills now that Sherman and the training wheels are gone. And a better o-line. I hope the line is better.
