Both players played great before coming to Miami, got gobbled up by horrible offenses with horrible QBs in Miami, and then will go on to do great things again with someone else. Stop trying to blame them. We are the ones with the problem. Not them.

Although, I agree with you but Wallace is getting paid top dollars to not drop easy passes. He needs to be more consistent.

When Brandon Marshall literally tripped over his own feet on the sideline and cost us a touchdown, did you blame Matt Moore?

Likewise, when Wallace fails to read the ****ing coverage and cuts back inside toward the safety, instead of to the sideline where the ball was correctly placed, do you blame the quarterback for reading the damn coverage correctly?

It's perfectly okay to rip on other players and talk about the team's overall problems while simultaneously acknowledging that Mike Wallace has been awful.

I'm a big fan of Wallace and was happy to get him. I think the problems are primarily Wallace is used wrong just like Reggie was used wrong. However Wallace hasn't been all that impressive at the basics.

I didn't think about it before the season but the problem with Wallace is he is just a version of Hartline, a little better at some things and not so good at others. We need a WR who will attack the ball and play through defenders, fight for the ball. We have receivers with speed and finesse. We lose all those jump balls that guys like Megatron, Bryant, and Marshall will get.

Marshall just wasn't the guy we needed with a young QB.

Boy, oh boy, do we have short memories about Brandon Marshall. In his final season, he flat out lost us the game versus Houston at home, failed to make a huge catch vs San Diego ( I was in the stadium and stood in pure shock how a perfectly thrown deep ball went through his hands after watching him make 1-handed catches in warmups). Brandon Marshall still has huge drops for Cutler in many games where things are tough and you need a play to pick up the team. Brandon Marshall is a guy who you can't depend on, period. Unfortunately, now, so is Wallace. I think Wallace could be salvaged with better coaching.
Still, I hate how cheaply the Bears acquired Marshall, especially because we somewhat wasted the picks on mediocre players. Egnew will have to make A LOT OF PLAYS over the next few years to make up for that trade. Ireland/Philbin were more about getting rid of a guy than even getting fair value and then saying, "ya know, we're not getting fair value and we're not just gonna dump him for nothing" They dumped Marshall, pure and simple. Perfect combination of ignorance and arrogance, that really has defined Philbin's tenure at this point.

Brandon Marshall dropped 6 touchdown passes during his final year here. I guess we should apologize to him?

Yeah, when Marshall threw that football at Cutler that was definitely because the Dolphins are not popular with the Madden players,

and when Revis knocked him down and stole a TD from him on national TV that was unquestionably because the under 25 demographic have no respect for the Dolphins franchise. :rolleyes2:

Wallace is a speed WR he has upside and can run many routes but he is not the guy who will make contested catches or jump ball catches or off target catches like Oronde used to.

How I feel about this kind of unadulterated pure shizzle:

Pretty much. Then he threw Matt Moore under the bus at the Pro Bowl. Disgusting.

He's locker room poison and he comes up short when it counts.

At least Mike Wallace isn't locker room poison and the jury is still out on his ability to come up with a big play when we need it.

Marshall as a pure receiver >>>>>> Wallace. That's honestly not even up for debate.

The only reason Marshall was let go was because of the extra baggage surrounding him, not because of his production. Wallace on the other hand is an entirely different story. He simply isn't producing on the field and has looked pretty awful in all but maybe a two games so far this season.

From a pure talent perspective, Marshall and Tanny would actually be a great fit. Marshall loves to go across the middle and a Tanny also loves to throw it in between the hash marks. It's too bad he's in Chicago now...he was actually a legitimate #1 receiver.
